Culture is defined as “arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively.” Culture varies from country and from people to people. In Ghana, culture is a significant part of the way of life. Music is one of the best ways to experience the rich culture of Ghana. Dedicated to exhibiting the rich culture of Ghana is highlife musician Amanzeba Nat Brew also referred to as Nat Brew. With two albums under his belt (Demara and Lolo Juju), Nat brew has changed and impacted the Ghana music industry since his involvement in the supergroup Narkoex. This week we examine ten songs of the phenomenal album “Demara,” by Amanzeba Nat Brew. The category is “Let the Culture Reign.”
Wogbe Jeke
Wogbe Jeke is a song that you would be bound to fall in love with. This song is in Ga, but possess so much history in the lyrical content. Amanzeba uses this song to educate consumers about the rich history of the people of Ghana. This song is the epitome of education made fun.

Biako is a nostalgic song which can be considered a war cry for Ghanaians. A very highlife rhythmic tune accompanied with uplifting words. This song calls for unity and development as a nation.
Baawo
One of my favourite tunes on the album, Baawo is all about Jama type vibes. This fun song is will get you dancing and busting a move. This song simply promotes the idea of hard work.
Dede
Who does not love a good love song? Dede is a romantic song depicting the woes and joys of love.
Onyame
A perfect mix of a. highlife and gospel song, Onyame is a song that definitely uplifts. Onyame speaks to the greatness of God and what God can do! God’s time is the best time.
Tsema
Delivered in Fanti, Tsema is a chill vibe. A cool fusion of jazz and Highlife, Tsema seeks to promote the message of love.
Mereko
Mereko is a highlife song which features Zouk elements. Mereko is a thoughtful piece that will have you reflecting on your life and how precious life can be. “I have to go and someone has to come.”
Afrikah
Afrikah portrays the beauty and simplicity of life on the content of Africa. Nat Brew shares intricate details about the culture and way of life in Africa. Amanzeba encourages youth to stay and cultivate the content rather than running away from it.

“We” is the translated version of Wogbe Jeke. The same message just delivered in English.
