Gina Jeanz, the Namibian Producer/DJ kicks off her debut album with lead single “Dopamine” featuring Zambian vocal powerhouse MOONGA K . Shedding light on the project, Gina promises that her upcoming album “Lucid Theory” will be a unique sonic experience.
Carefully crafted and intentional, “Dopamine” by Gina Jeanz is a special record. Like other musicians, Gina’s recording process was influenced by the solitude of lockdown. Revealing that it allowed her to slow down a bit, becoming more detail-oriented with her work and intentions.
I really want the audience to feel uplifted. Dopamine is a celebratory track which focuses on the positive side of dealing with inner battles.

Like the chemical, “Dopamine”, the track delivers these uplifting vibes directly to the masses.
Anyone who has experienced mental health issues knows that you tend to feel helpless and like you have no control. I channeled that energy into this track and told my story with the sound
“Dopamine” is an audible antidepressant, further strengthened by MOONGA’s soothing vocals. With Gina’s dutiful production that plays to his strengths, the duo craft a feel-good jam that rallies your spirit. Encouraging listeners to see the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to mental health struggles.

With the world ready to return to concerts and gatherings, Gina is taking African house music to new heights. Excited about the possibility of live performances, Gina wants to get people to feel free and have fun again.
I missed connecting with an actual audience and playing some of my own productions I worked on during lockdown. I’m the happiest when I’m on the decks and I really missed those moments to connect through the music.

Lockdown also allowed Gina to discover some rapidly emerging talents. Acts like KG Karen Nyame, Hagan, Muzi, The Tribal Brothers, European 305, DJ Polo, and Tems have caught her attention. A lover and student of music, Gina is taking lessons from her fellow acts. Channeling vulnerability and freedom, Gina Jeanz is welcoming the world to life after COVID.
I really try to encourage people to let loose. It’s important for me to create an experience for them. When I play I dance too so it’s exciting to see people go from being reserved to going crazy on the dance floor. When I produce or DJ I’m so happy that I get to see how people react to my music selections
Shuttling between club sounds and mental uplift, “Dopamine” reaches out to anyone going through it, inviting them to reach back with the power of music.
