Ghanaian Songs Which Could Qualify As Anime Soundtracks

Social media, campuses, events and fashion, the popular Japanese style animation known as  Anime is experiencing significant growth and influence in Accra. The art style has been popularised by shows such as Pokemon, One Piece, Bleach, Naruto and Attack on Titan just to name a few. Despite the show being shown in Japanese with subtitles for non-Japanese speakers to understand the show, it hasn’t limited its popularity on a global scale. The storylines, fashion styles, dramatic close-ups of action sequences, characterization and music score are some parts of the show that made anime ever so popular.

Currently on Ghanaian social media, the anime community and enthusiasts are becoming more visible and vocal in their love for the show. As seen in Asia or the West, people in Accra have organized Anime conventions over the last 3 years as a tool for enthusiasts and others to meet and connect in their shared love for the show.

In creating some connection between Anime and the Ghanaian arts community, we at iMullar have put together a list of Ghanaian songs which will fit in an anime show as soundtracks.
