Each week, we accumulate a list of newly released songs that we think you should hear because music is the only universal language of peace and love. Here are some of the best releases you may have missed this week and don’t forget who put you on these sounds.

This list will be updated every day with new sounds released this week till Sunday.

Tome featuring Wavy the Creator – Magical Fruits 

Tome has released the second song off her upcoming album “Bigger Than 4 Walls”, the song ‘magical fruits’ features Wavy The Creator. The song in one way talks about the beauty of love and in another way talks about the beauty of life, living and just being happy, whichever you relate to, just enjoy it. 

Aylo featuring Lmbskn – This Shit

Aylo’s first single of the year ‘this shit’ is the perfect soulful song you need this week, it’s calm nature, the love and sexy feel it comes with, the mood of relaxation it puts you in and the Lmbskn feature is just perfect.

Grenade official featuring Eddy Kenzo – Dis Dat

On his new song titled ‘Dis Dat’, Ugandan singer Deus Nduggwa a.k.a Grenade Official features Edrisah Musuuza also known as Eddy Kenzo to bring us this new jam. The song comes with a catchy rhythm, a bit of Afrobeat music influence and a party feel you can jam to.

Chivv featuring King Promise – Give Me

Two months ago, King Promise featured Dutch-Surinamese rapper Chivv on the remix of his hit song ‘Commando’, it’s the turn of Chivv and he has also featured King Promise on his new single ‘Give Me’. If you loved the remix of commando then you’re definitely going to love this one, these are the things we love to see, crossing borders and making good music with good vibes just like this, the song was released with a video, watch it on YouTube via the link below.

Ezi Emela- No Love 

UK-born Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ezi Emela’s new single titled ‘No Love’ talks about how in a relationship, one always wants to be the best they can be for their partners even though sometimes their efforts are not appreciated. This song expresses feelings everyone can relate to regardless of your gender. 

Krakye Geng featuring Kweku Smoke x Bosom p-yung – Krakye Geng

With an electrifying visual, Kweku Smoke and Bosom p-yung emphasis on “Actions speak louder than words” and “Hard-work pays” on drill beat by Atown Tsb. Sit back and enjoy.

Manifest featuring Kelvynboy – We No Dey Hear

People who use the phrase ‘we no dey hear’ are classified as stubborn people and it’s safe at this point to say that Manifest is musically stubborn, there are so many good things happening in this song, from the production by Kel P, to the vocals by Kelvynboy and of course the rap by Manifest. One minute you’re moving your feet to the beat, next minute you’re enjoying the vocals and the next minute you are paying rapt attention to the Manifest flow, we hope you enjoy this as much as we do.

WurlD – Wayo (Kpe Le Wu)

We’re gradually getting close to the Afro-Soul EP by WurlD as he has released “Wayo” off the tape, the song produced by Kel P Vibes and Teflon is a song assuring ones lover of protection, WurlD singing from the males perspective is letting understand that as a man you owe your lover the maximum protection when it comes to your relationship and that’s how it’s supposed to be.

DJ Mic Smith – Juju

Everyone craves attention and love, it’s human nature to want affection, sometimes words may not be able to fully express the way you feel about a person but music can never fail you. DJ Mic Smith enlists some amazing artistes on his new single ‘Juju’, the artistes are Blaqbonez, T’neeya, CKay, Pappy Kojo, Kweku Afro and J Derobie, all artistes take turns to express their feelings and also sing about how much they want to love and affection on the Kayso production. Words will fail you but music will never.

Kelvin Black featuring Kwaku Drizzy – Hustle

The dream is free but the hustle is sold separately, you must either modify your dreams or magnify your skills, hustle beats talent when talent doesn’t hustle. Here’s the simple message in Kelvin Black’s new single ‘Hustle’, the song features Kwaku Drizzy and was produced by Noizy People.

Big K Dj – The Home Alone Mix 

The young and talented Ghanaian Disc Jockey, Big K DJ has dropped another DJ mix dubbed, ‘THE HOME ALONE’ mix, as everyone is found quarantining at home, the DJ, full of positive vibes puts together music from various artists from Ghana and around the world. The mix which runs for a total of 44 minutes features Darkovibes, PAQ, Naira Marley, Master KG, T-Le and many others. The mix is fully loaded with energetic vibes which allows you to get in that party spirit. Enjoy the party with Big K DJ as you stay indoors and stay safe.

Sefa – Memories 

There are so many memories we can never forget or take out of our minds, the memories that come with love are the most difficult ones to erase. Sefa talks to us about her memories and everything about the good times with her lover in her new song ‘Memories’ produced by Dj Breezy. 

DredW –  Ntoma 

DredW serves fans with yet another banger titled, ‘Ntoma’. He enlists a trio of artists namely; Jetey, former Highly Spiritual label artist, Yaw Berk and Ga rapper, Keddi to better fulfil his aesthetic. Translating to fabric/material, ‘Ntoma’ preserves the much-needed quality fans have come to expect from DredW produced sounds, overall, the song is a nod to lovers who crave intimacy – a cornerstone of relationships, urging both to draw closer. Jetey’s mellow chorus is backed with some much-appreciated verses from Yaw Berk and Keddi, all of which will keep fans entertained.

Scientific – Cold Summer 

After a brief hiatus from the music game, Scientific makes a return with new song ‘Cold Summer’. Together with a video, it wholly serves as an input to Fabolous’ #ColdSummerChallenge. With scores of people dead and the world at a standstill, ‘Cold Summer’ descends into the darkness that cloaks our ongoing plight, scientific walks the path of what many will dub as conspiracy theories, but could simply be the bitter truth, ranging from 5G, bioterrorism and anti-vaccine to lack of media credibility, Scientific reads between the lines and pieces things together ever so beautifully using his ginormous lyrical wits and finesse atop some buttery-smooth delivery.

NSG Music – Porsche

Every time we see a song from NSG, we know it will be nothing but dope and ‘Porsche’ is not an exception as the boys take turns to sing and rap about lifestyle, you know how the musicians do it, vibes upon vibes, talking about cars, sneakers and basically everything. This particular one is a jam and it comes with a video, it’s hard to identify each member of the group but it’s worth the watch. 

Freddy Hayz featuring Kay T – Don’t Need You

When a guy says “I don’t need you” to your face, it’s safe you can get away with it but if they put it in a song then you know it’s real and there’s nothing you can do about it. Freddy and Kay T from the group TSD worldwide put their sad feelings in ‘don’t need you’, the thing about this song is you can feel their pain as you listen to it nevertheless the song is calm, the rhythm is sleek as much as it sounds like a heartbreak song, you’ll still enjoy it.

 Izzik feat Pzeefire – Small Small

Izzik and Pzee are on the alte wave this week, in their new song “small small’, they send a message of motivation to everyone working hard towards their goals, as hard as it looks, small small it will get better, just focus, work hard and watch all your wins come to you. Everyone needs to hear this so we hope this gives you enough motivation to keep going and never give up.

Kwame Ysu – Mama

To commemorate the celebration of Mother’s Day, Kwame Ysu has released a song titled “Mama”. The song sends appreciation to all mothers for their care, endless love and support, in as much as today is for all mothers, it’s just right to also celebrate anyone who has played the role of a mother in our lives. Enjoy this.

Boorle Minick feat KLU – Bestee

From strangers to friends to besties, the list can go on and on but today our focus is on “Bestee” by Boorle Minick and KLU. A best friend is one you can confide in, share issues with and all that but sometimes we become extremely close to our best friends so much that we turn to want more from them, that’s where all the problem start from, Boorle and King Klu in their new song, tell us about a best friend wanting so much more can jeopardize the beauty of the friendship, sometimes being friends and staying friends is way better, trust us on that.

Jean Feier – Light Show

The Jean Feier series continues this week as she drops another song and she calls this “light show”, by now you should have a whole playlist for Feier because all her songs are fire,  see what I did there. In “light show”  she tells us that in the dark, she’s a star and as we all know stars shine as bright as they can, Jean is sending us a message in all her songs, in short, you can’t dim her light no matter what and that’s it.

Jerry Kay feat Chiefkellz – Side Out

Jerry Kay & Chief Kellz display their Astro imaginative thoughts to an imaginative girl in this wavy trap song titled “Side Out”.  Vroom with them into a realm of possibilities.

Diane Dddd feat Kadja – Waiting 

The weekend music continues with a new song from Diana titled “waiting”, the song gives us in-depth relationship issues from the female and male point of view. Knowing the right time to fall in love is key, you might have good vibes with the other party but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s okay to have a solid relationship, you need to know them, understand them and communicate with them to know the right thing to do. Waiting may seem like a long thing to do but it’s definitely worth it.

Queen Drie – Mama

Queen Drie’s “mama” is an in-depth description of mothers, who they are and what they stand for, they will go through hard times just to make us feel better but hard times never break them or destroy them, that’s how strong they are and we appreciate them for all of that. 

Allisn – Another Day 

‘Another Day’ by Allisn is the fourth track off her debut Ep which is set to be released by end of June, the alte, afro-fusion track was produced by prominent Ghanaian producer Jayso. The song features elements of Ghanaian Highlife mixed with heavy bass and smooth vocals, the song is a call to action to take control of one’s life, make things happen and make a change. According to Allisn, she wrote this song during a time when she was feeling extremely unmotivated and lazy, despite having so many ambitions and dreams.

Joey B – Lava Feels

It’s been 3 years since Joey B dropped the  ‘Darryl’ tape, since then he’s been releasing singles, collaborating with several amazing artists and just being an exceptional talent that he is. 3 days ago he released his new project ‘Lava Feels’, there’s so much hype surrounding the tape because finally, we get to hear another body of work by Joey B. The tape features, Sarkodie, RJZ, Bosom P Yung, Santi, Odunsi the engine, Stonebwoy, Kojo Cue, Mensa, Pappy Kojo and EL, Lava Feels is not just a tape you would want to listen to and forget, the tape is all sort of fire feelings, probably why Joey named it ‘Lava Feels’, producers on the tape are DJ Krept, A-Town, Altra Nova and Kuvie.

Reniss – Nzo (reniss _official)

‘Nzo’ which translates to Future or Tomorrow by Cameroonian artist Reniss celebrates the vibrant nature of African music, music that will make you want to get up on your feet and dance. The 12-track indie-pop album is full of energy and positive vibes, Reniss shows her versatility as she sings in French, Pidgin, English and her dialect Nguemba, like we say everyday, language has never been a barrier when it comes to music, so don’t worry if you don’t understand the language, just enjoy the vibe.

Lp2loose – Psycho Mind

Psycho Mind’ is a hip-hop project by Anthony Akeem popularly known as Lp2loose, the tape is more like his perspective on different things, his versatility and his talent, from the songs on the tape, it’s easy to understand where he is coming from, where he’s gotten to and how far he is willing to go. The energy in his sound is quite striking, if you love the South London type of music sounds be it drill or grime, you’ll love this tape the most, Lp2loose featured Idaly, Cho, Chivv, Lil Kleine, Sevn Alias and Adje on ‘psycho mind’.

KiDi – Blue Ep

KiDi switches things up in his ‘Blue EP’, a blend of highlife, a little bit of R&B, Afro Beat and love sounds. ‘Say Cheese’, ‘One Man’, ‘End in Tears’, ‘Freaky Lord’, and ‘Next Time I See You’ are the 5 songs on the tape with a guest feature from Adina and additional vocals from Joey B on ‘end in tears’. The weekend looks good, spice it up with the Blue EP and thank us later.

McBriggs – Feelings EP

McBriggs is here to put us in all sorts of feels in his debut tape “Feelings”. ‘Wire Money’ talks about females and their love for money, they deserve it so when they ask you just have to give it to them, ‘Farable’ featuring Tibu and Tracy seems to be everyone’s favourite, the song has a cosy vibe, it is the type of song that sets the mood for a nice sensual time with anyone, the last track ‘Feelings’ is just as the title says, the song puts you in your feelings but also allows you to show off your dance moves, it features Jaji and Twitch, do check it out.

Mut4y & Elhi – Euphoria Ep

Mutay, a member of Nigeria’s Legendury Beatz, has released a 5 track tape with Elhi titled the ‘Euphoria EP”, the Afro-Pop tape is Muty4y’s exploration of love, feelings and emotions. Elhi brings his amazing vocals to play on all the songs which were produced, mixed and mastered by Mut4y, have fun with it.

Kiienka – Spaceman 2.0

Largely produced by Kiienka himself, ‘Spaceman 2.0’ is a hard-hitting blend of modern-day trap and R&B with amazing vocal melodies. The 8 track tape is Kiienka’s sophomore project, just last month, he released ‘In The Ends’ off the project, upon arrival, Spotify plugged the track on the No Wahala playlist while Apple Music touted it on New Music Daily, Mood, The New Africa, African Hip-hop, Hot Tracks, and Alte Cruise. The Native also praised the single stating “it serves as a thrilling peek into what we should be expecting from Kiienka”. ‘Spaceman 2.0.’ is a bold statement from the young star proving that he is certainly one of Africa’s major artists to watch in 2020.
