Soul Beach is an immersive live music experience crafted by Guide Radio, Knowhere Ghana and Polo Beach Club. Starting back in September, this midweek musical getaway was designed for anyone seeking a break, embracing both the soothing beach ambiance and the diverse sounds of Ghanaian music.
Soul Beach owes its inception to the visionary team at Guide Radio 91.5FM, and it’s no surprise. The event perfectly embodies the core values of Guide Radio, which has been championing non-mainstream acts and connecting audiences with a diverse range of sounds since its launch in 2021.
Every Wednesday at Polo Beach Club, Soul Beach attracts people looking for a chill evening after a long day at work, an escape, offering the perfect combination of beach shores, good vibes, and even better music. With artists like Sister Deborah, Ogranya, Krymi, and Chayuta performing on different nights, the event became a go-to for those seeking a midweek musical pick-me-up.
Soul Beach crowned its activities in December with Soul Beach Grande on the 20th, supported by the government tourism initiative – Beyond the Return. It was the perfect way to celebrate the artistry of some of Ghana’s finest artists whilst tapping into the December festivities. The crowd was a beautiful mix—a blend of fans, artists, beachgoers, and festive visitors sharing a love for music and enjoyment.

20 Ghanaian artists graced the stage, spanning genres from R&B to Soul, Hip-Hop, Pop, Afrofusion, and Afrobeats. The event unfolded in six sets, transitioning from soulful melodies by UZII Washington, Rama Brew, Susan August, Massy, Maya Blu, Ria Boss, and Darkua, to upbeat rhythms and hard-hitting deliveries from Haeven, Boijake, Avit, Chayuta, AratheJay, Offei, Dan Drizzy, Marince Omario, Romeo Swag, 99 PHACES, The VVVillage, Hakpanya collective, King LX, La Même Gang, and Kwaku DMC. Performances were complimented by some of Accra’s finest disc jockeys. DJ Baaba, Big K DJ , Gregory DJ, AD DJ, Leonardo DJ, and DJ Mish, commanded the evening’s flow, with a blend of afrobeats, house, and Amapiano.
It was refreshing to see artists of different levels of experience share the stage for the same cause. It’s an important movement we are seeing in the creative space, where emerging acts are given the platform to showcase their work and abilities. In a period dominated by various forms of music consumption, Soul Beach was a refreshing display of Ghana’s talent and live musical diversity, and we look forward to discovering new talents during the next curated experiences.
