On Rotation: Songs You Need In Your Life This Week

Every week, the iMullar staff rounds up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, thus forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From the UK to Nigeria to Ghana, each track from this week’s selections is guaranteed to be a vibe.

1. Veola – Odometer

Your December doesn’t have to be detty all the time. You can have time for love and its shenanigans as well. Let this song be the soundtrack for those experiences.

2. Debordo Leekunfa – Djeneba Djaba

Francophone dance music at it’s best! This 3-minute track from Debordo Leekunfa is guaranteed to sweep you off of your feet and have your body moving during the entire duration of the song.

3. Leonie – Liar

Leonie teaches that the art of confrontation isn’t a one-dimensional path. Sometimes you can still face your pain and hurt with a chill tone and an elegant demeanor.

4. King Kerby – Thrifted

To all the fashion boys and girls who can shop and look fly on a budget, you’ve got yourself a dope anthem. King Kerby‘s flow is so smooth it can roll from your shoulder to the hem of your sleeve.

5. Musa Keys & Divine Vee – vafana va mali (Gaza Boys)

South African House music is beautiful and sonically pleasing. This new offering from Musa Keys makes me want to experience a 12-hour groove with this song on rotation.

6. Shoday & Ayo Maff – Casablanca

The duo we didn’t know we needed. Both artists delivered spectacularly on the track, singing melodies with a bit a spiritual hum to it.

7. shiv, Kojaque, Gaptoof – cherry pie

There are some songs so effortlessly beautiful they can transport the listener to the artist’s subconsciousness. This is one of them.

8. Marieme & Luedji Luna – LET YOU GO

This track is a reminder that it is unhealthy to let someone have complete control of your emotions. It’s completely okay to let go of people that make you feel incomplete.

9. Aymos (Ft. Mawhoo & Mas Musiq) – Amabhoza

Aymos’ vocals are so calm and hypnotic that they draw you into his music and keep you entranced and engaged throughout.

10. Nija – Unruly

For all our R&B lovers reading this, we’ve got you a new fast-paced anthem ahead of Detty December.

On Rotation is your weekly dose of musical geniuses to your library. Our editors update this playlist frequently, so if you see something you like, go ahead and add it to your library.
