REASON also comes through with his verse, delivering a smooth a flow blending perfectly with this Nabeyin-produced beat.
5. JessB feat. Sister Nancy & Sampa The Great – Power
This is what it feels like if the Powerpuff girls was made into a live action musical. JessB controlling the pace of the song with her verse as the lead artist, Sampa the Great bringing the heat with her rap verse, delivering a masterful flow and lyrics, with Sister Nancy acting as the glue with her bubbly yet minimal wordplay in the intro and in between verses as well.
6. Boy Spyce & Don Jazzy feat. King Promise – Lose
Mavin’s resident lover boy comes through with another love song for the season. This time he features Don Jazzy and King Promise who each bring a different and dynamic flavour to the track. The trio all deliver beautiful yet unique verses which come together perfectly to create this masterpiece.
7. Sofie feat. shvne, Ess The Legend & Juma Mufasa – If You Don’t Stop (Remix)
This is the type of song that you subconsciously keep on a loop on your major playlists because you can’t seem to get enough of it and every listen feels like the first time. All the artists on the track understood the assignment, each delivering sultry vocals blending masterfully on this haunting production.
8. Majeeed – Rollercoaster (Laba Laba)
Majeeed speaks from the perspective of a dejected lover boy. He speaks to the audience about how turbulent his love life has been, likening the experience to that of a rollercoaster. He sings of being unmotivated to put himself out there.
9. Vudumane – Jungle
Vudumane on this track, sings about perseverance. Sampling Chike and Mohbad’s “Egwu”, he delivers an infectious anthem for people being weighed down by naysayers and doubters, assuring them that one through dedication, one they too can achieve success.
10. Nox Collective, Boycray & Kizit0 – Till The Sun Up
Nox Collective just released a tape just in time for the summer. “Till the Sun Up” is a perfect introductory track for everyone discovering their music for the first time.
