Boomplay And ITEL Rocked Campuses In Nigeria And Tanzania With P55 Series Launch And Music Festival; Kenya And Ghana Next

Boomplay and itel join forces to bring an immersive music and technology fun experience to selected tertiary campuses across Africa.

Over the weekend, they successfully held the P55 Series Launch and Music Festival dubbed #PowerUPYourLife in Nigeria and Tanzania. Kenya and Ghana are the countries confirmed to be the next stops for the product activation and music festival.

The collaboration between Africa’s leading music streaming and download platform, Boomplay, and reliable smart life brand, itel, resulting in the new itel P55 Series launch and music festival dubbed “Power Up Your Life” has had a successful rollout on campuses in Nigeria and Tanzania over the weekend. 

After generating buzz online with teasers, the University of Lagos and Federal College of Education, Akoka (FCE) were announced as campuses to host the product activation and music festival in Nigeria while the University of Dar es Salaam and Ardhi University got selected as the campuses in Tanzania to experience the spectacular celebration of music and technology.

The Boomplay and itel “Power Up Your Life” product activation and music festival caravan on arriving at the selected tertiary institutions treated students to fun games, social trends, photo moments, interactive demos of itel’s mobile devices, and exclusive giveaways.

Captivating the hearts of students with the fun-packed experience, a grand concert climaxed all activities on the last day of the campaign where the launch of itel’s new P55 Series Smartphone and E1 Smartwatch was a major highlight. itel P55+, the first 45W fast-charging smartphone of itel, features a long-lasting battery and high entertainment, which is highly recommended to students and music lovers.

Joeboy, Bnxn, Cheque, Qing Madi, and Guchi were among the artists who delivered pulsating music performances at the University of Lagos Sports Complex during the mega concert to close the festival in Nigeria. Likewise, in Tanzania, the likes of Platform, Barnaba, Meja Kunta, Kontawa, Lony Bway, and Lody Music delivered amazing performances to the delight of attendees of the concert at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) that climaxed all events.

Following the huge success in Nigeria and Tanzania over the weekend, the “Power Up Your Life” activation campaign and music festival train will make its next stops in Kenya and then in Ghana. The Kenyatta University (KU) and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) will host the fun experiences in Kenya from the 19th of February to the 23rd of February, 2024 while the Accra Technical University and University of Ghana’s Accra City Campus in Ghana will host the activation and music festival from 26th February to 2nd March, 2024.
