Each week, we accumulate a list of newly released songs that we think you should hear because music is the only universal language of peace and love. Here are some of the best releases you may have missed this week and don’t forget who put you on these sounds.

Nasty C x T.I – They Don’t
South African rapper Nasty C and T.I. have shared a new song called “They Don’t.” Proceeds from the single go-to Until Freedom and Solidarity Fund. On the track, the rappers address racism and injustice, with T.I. referencing the death of George Floyd: “How you supposed to serve and protect/With your knee on my neck?” Listen to “They Don’t” below.
Kojo Cue featuring Lud Phe – Blessings
So many times we experience and go through things that beats our wildest imaginations, we can only be grateful and ask God for more ‘Blessings’. Kojo Cue understands this better as he features Lud Phe on his new song ‘Blessings’.
Exo – Goodbye
Exo’s ‘Goodbye’ is basically about living a stress-free life, many a time we believe in people and things and when they don’t live up to our expectations, we become disappointed. How about living a stress-free life and not depending on people and things which sometimes affects us in different ways so in this song we ‘Goodbye’ to stress, disappointments and all that comes with it.
Jean Feier featuring Wavy The Creator – Airwaves
Jean Feier’s consistency in giving us new music every week is unmatched and this week she teams up with Wavy The Creator on ‘Airwaves’. The Zodiac produced song sees both artists take us on a ride of positive vibes and pure energy, enjoy.
Kelvin Black – Zeros

Your voice is needed to create awareness on issues happening in these hard times, don’t be silent, let’s all join Ayat on his new song ‘Tuesday 2nd June’ and spread the word.

Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that we deserve to be happy, to be proud of ourselves, to be true to ourselves and the things we care about. Sun-EL Musician featuring Msaki – Ubomi Abumanga
South African producer and disc Jockey Sanele Sithole popularly known as Sun-EL has a new song out titled “Ubomi Abumanga” loosely translated to “life hasn’t stopped”. The song features songstress Msaki, if you’re looking for a new chapter, new start or reliving life all over again, this is the song you need.
Canabia featuring Teni – Shaka
‘Shaka’ is an Afrobeat song by Nigerian artistes Canabia and Teni, the song has some motivational elements in its lyrics in which both artists express the need to work hard and earn a living. A song to celebrate one’s success while we keep hoping and praying for the best.
Krymi – So Damn Fine
Krymi’s new song ‘So Damn Fine’ is a beauty appreciation song for the females and our ears have been itching to hear it and we just couldn’t wait to share it with you, the song comes with a beautiful video and you can watch it below.
Jetey – Wait
“Wait” tells the story of a Friday night link-up between Jetey and one babe he’s eager to see, the good news is, she wants to see him too and is keen on a party, Jetey’s down for that; he’s waiting on her to come through. Directed by Fif Wilson, the music video stars Jetey and Foxie Silver, both share the screen with lots of cutesy scenes to the enjoyment of many, in a room loaded with colourful frames, plants and ample sunlight.
Big Papi Flocsta featuring Chief Kellz – Trap Champion$
Big Papi Flocsta on his debut enlisted colleague BloodLine Artiste Chief Kellz on a TrapHouse Special he calls “Trap Champion$”. 3mins 44 seconds of energy and trap man narratives, the song is accompanied by a video which was shot by Mioso x Chiwxs entirely with 2 iPhones and edited by Foze.
Pizzle featuring Kula – Starboy
In ‘Starboy’, which features Kula, Pizzle fantasizes having lots of money and clout to the extent of being easily recognized and praised whenever he goes out in public. He makes bold statements like being on the financial level of Aliko Dangote: the richest man in Africa, buying four Mercedes Benz’s at a time, always riding out in a convoy, having a wealthy man’s son be his personal chauffeur, etc. All these are metaphors for how high, mighty and wealthy Pizzle wishes to be in life.
Mista Myles – Make Me Dance

Jean Feier – LUV
The weekly Jean Feier is out and this week the song is titled ‘Luv’, you either love people from scratch or along their journey not when everything is all set and you find them in the glow period, if you don’t love them in their bad, you definitely don’t deserve them in their good. “If you don’t love me now, don’t you look for me later” and that’s our favourite line from the song.
G West – Wire
G West appreciates and sings about the body of his lover in fante dialect and pidgin in his new song ‘Wire’. The hi-life song has the 90s rhythmic traditional sounds which makes it easier to dance to and words that you can easily sing to, while you’re at it don’t forget to whine your body like a wire.
Projects
Jayso – 0106 Vol 5
0106 is Jayso’s annual tape released on 1st of June every year hence the title ‘0106’, this project has been running for 5 years. Since it inception Jayso has always featured amazing artists and he continues to support the talent of new artists in Volume 5, this volume features Kelvin Black, Copta who has been featured on the tape every year, Titi Owusu, Kwame Swerve, Harmaboy, J-Town, EL, Spacely and a host of other amazing artists. 5 years of good music, hard rap and it continues on this volume enjoy.

Sauti Sol – Midnight Train
Kenyan afro-pop band Sauti Sol released their first album under the major label Universal Music. Produced by Mboks on the beat and Andre Harris, “Midnight train” has a very unique sound on each track but the melodies and the beautiful vocals create a very nice set of emotions.
The 13-track album features their fellow compatriots Bensoul, Xenia, Nviiri The Storyteller, Okello Max, NHP, Black Motion and the Soweto Gospel Choir, even artistes from the globe such as India Arie, Sho Madjozi and Mortimer.
“Midnight train” is giving us good vibes for days, this is definitely an album you should play on repeat.

I could write a whole essay on what this tape is about but everything I have to say is deep within the title. ‘Maybe Love Isn’t Enough’ is the title of LI’s new tape, emotions expressed, feelings turned into lyrics and beats on a 4-track EP by LI, have fun with it.
