The Alté scene keeps proving just how Essential their movement is, cutting through to worldwide fan base all around, and Odunsi’s new project is sheer prove the genre is here to stay.

On his new project, the singer is himself,  from soothing vocals to modernized rockstar infused production, which works completely from its owners’ script, “Luv in a Mosh” is classic Odunsi “The Engine”, assembled with mid-tempo yet gloomy melodies, simple but rich chords throughout to create a warm production, the singer vocally lays his desire about wanting fire and emotions, bragging about picking nail colours for his lover, summing up his basic yet aesthetic desires from a lover.

Just a song into the fourteen minutes project and the transition to “Nü Finesse” is as accurate as a change of speed in a car, the singer confirmed this is the only song he didn’t produce, allowing Tochi Bedford to craft a trademark production, which is doubled here in terms of speed, on a synth-Trap flooded beat, the Nigerian crooner channels his inner rockstar trademark, with a catchy repetitive chorus that simply makes it a bop.

You appreciate Odunsi more when it hits you he produced six songs on the EP, single-handedly shaping the sound of his project,  he sets the tempo on “Airplane Mode”, a lighter song, hinging on a mumble-style but with few lyrical platitudes that boast of emotions and a wild lifestyle.

Odunsi and Maison2500’s chemistry is slowly becoming a fan favorite, both have killed it together in previous songs, and they bring the same energy on “PDA!”, a wild raging tune that is filled with effortless flex,  Maison’s swaggy yet conversational verses (on top designers like Margiela) nonetheless sound just as natural over Odunsi layered beats, creating a raging tune in the process.

The two are not done yet, log unto your Twitter and search “Wicked, sexy!” and you’ll get a pile of results that consists of Alté’s prettiest women posting aesthetic pictures on Twitter with the song title as their captions, the song is not just a super daring tune with lines like “Wanna fu*k Gena, wanna fu*k Ashley” (Alté’s baddest chicks and affiliates) but also a type that sounds like will be great for a TikTok video filled with pretty ladies.

Undoubtedly the best song on the EP and definitely a summer Bop, “Body Count” is Odunsi allowing his female counterparts to show us how to properly ride a beat, led by Ghana’s finest Amaarae, she reeks off wild vibes like man-taking, sex-positive powerhouse lyrics, throwing a catchy chorus to the song which makes it a straight club banger, Gigi Atlantis gets the song going with her gritty vocals whiles DETO BLACK delivers a cutthroat verse and candid nature, turning her debut into a diva-like lyrical frontrunner in the Alté scene

Odunsi sums the EP off with peak Odunsi vibe, “Shuga Rush” is a transportive, “funkified mood”, the singer is living freely here, got his Opps on his radar, the crooner sheds light on a happier dimension in a Rockstar’s life, painting fans a vivid picture of the Alté scene, “Everything you heard is true” is a sneak peek into the singer’s Second debut EP, laced with slow-groove R&B, modernized rockstar lifestyle, and ever daring lyrics.
