Each week, we accumulate a list of newly released songs that we think you should hear because music is the only universal language of peace and love. Here are some of the best releases you may have missed this week and don’t forget who put you on these sounds.

Fokn Bois – Gallon
Known activists, Fokn Bois have their own way of addressing social issues through their music-making it less cringing but a good mood. In their new single ‘Gallon’, the duo address issues relating to racism, corruption, religion and the environment. The upbeat nails the message to the wall and your hearts. Efe Money – Sho Mo
Nigerian rapper Efe released a brand new single titled, ‘Sho Mo’ off his upcoming ‘Nonstop EP’ which is set to be released on the 22nd of this month. ‘Sho Mo’ which is Yoruba translation for “do you know,” is characterized by its Afrobeat tempo and rhythmic synths, the song would steal your attention right from the beginning, trust us.
Rezzy featuring Spacely & B Botch -Martian
The trap scene is experiencing new talents every day and that’s exactly what we love to see, Rezzy features Spacely and B Botch on his new song ‘Martian’, the song basically talks about people’s quest to search for greens (money) but on this journey a lot of people will try to pull you down and envy you, regardless you don’t have to stop, work your way up and become who or what you want to become.
Lady Donli featuring Darkovibes – Wonda Wonda
Lady Donli and Darkovibes sing to us about the troubles involved in falling in love and making the right choices about it in Lady’s new song ‘Wonda Wonda’. You can love someone and they won’t love you back, it could be the other way round and both parties are left wondering why all this is happening, well Ladi Donli and Darkovibes have all the answers for you in ‘Wonda Wonda’ produced by Kuvie.
Töme feat King Promise – All to You
Töme’s ‘Bigger Than Four Walls’ album is gradually becoming our favourite, her new release’ All to You’ features King Promise and we are in love with it already. Both artists share their heartfelt feelings of love as they sing about giving the best of their love to each other, we love and we know you’ll love this too, enjoy.
ToluDadi featuring Cici Yeboah – Like This
ToluDadi has plans of winning the heart of all the girls in Africa especially Ghana and Nigeria with his music, in his new song ‘Like This’ he blends pidgin English and Twi as he gives the girls all the love vibes, what strikes us the most is the amazing vocals from both ToluDadi and Cici, this will definitely make you put the song on repeat.
Kashbwoy featuring Joey B – Maria
May is proving to be a month of great sounds and KashBwoy came ready, he pairs with fan-favourite, Joey B to record a new piece, ‘Maria’, atop a VT produced a masterpiece. ‘Maria’ tells the story of a beauty queen who only cares in the world is money and all it could buy, with scores of men at her feet, ready to spoil her with lavish gifts, Maria feels on top of her world. KashBwoy appeals greatly with some superfluid vocals that pack a punch, Joey B doesn’t drop the ball either, he comes through squeaky clean to further enhance the tune.
Essilfie featuring Bully – Gye Wani Remix
The original song was released about a year ago and its sole purpose was to help people who were going through hard times. ‘GYE WANI’ simply means to be happy, the remix is about letting go and allowing love to make you happy and it features Bully.
HotSource – Oh Lord
Ghanaian rapper and songwriter HotSource after taking a hiatus in music bounces back with a bopping hip hop tune titled ‘Oh Lord’, the song is simply a motivational song and the message it sends across is basically what every young individual wants to achieve. In the song, HotSource asks God for the forgiveness of sin and goes on to ask when his dreams of becoming rich will manifest. The song features A-Clipse and BigBurnTBA who lay down remarkable verses to support the message the song sends across. The song is available on all music streaming platforms.
Kimilist – New Age Sound
Mimlife Records signed act Kimilist is out with a new song and he calls it ‘New Age Sound’. The Webie produced song is an upbeat hip hop with some sort of influence from the UK music sound filled with hitting raps, catchy lines and a soothing-easy singing hook, get the new age sound vibe via the link below.
Dami Oniru – Nowhere To Run
Troubles and hard times come to us when we are least prepared, our ability to stay and fight whatever thing that comes our way is the real power, you don’t have to run away from your troubles as Dami tells us in her uplifting song “nowhere to run to”.
Jean Feier – Here With Me
It’s Jean Feier coming through once again with her amazing voice this time telling us a love story titled “here with me”, an emotional song of assurance, love and pain, full of feels, you won’t know you need this song until you listen to it, don’t blame us if you cry by the way.
Bad Boy Ministries – Shika (Moonlight Cover)
Bad Boy Ministries come through with their new song Shika’, a Hip-Hop song that has Boy Kay and Akwesi at the helm of its very familiar beat. Mixed by Kaynie, ‘Shika’ serves as a cover to late American rapper, XXXTentacion’s ‘Moonlight’.Boy Kay and Akwesi gracefully rap about their drive to cop that bag of money, amid some enviable verses and flow. At heart, it’s a kicky piece that will resonate fairly well among the young of today. ‘Shika’ is meant to usher Bad Boy Ministry into the music scene and as a result, is the first of many more to come.
Nqobilé – Look at Her
Nqobilé’s energetic single “Look at Her” focuses on bringing out your inner dance diva. The British-African performer transfers her experience from years of dancing for superstars like Drake, Davido, Rihanna, Wizkid, Maleek Berry, Lil Kim and more with good support from the dance community. Odunsi – Everything You Heard Is True
What are some of the things you’ve heard about Odunsi with regards to his music career, choices of fashion and ways of expressing himself, well whatever you have heard is true as the title of his new project says, ‘Everything you heard is true’ is the type of sound that creates a relaxing atmosphere or a relaxed mood, everything about it is just calm but you still get to feel all the vibes, the project has appearances from artists within the alté scene like Amaarae, Maison2500, Gigi Atlantis, and DETO BLACK. Wurld – AfroSoul Ep
Wurld’s ‘AfroSoul’ EP is finally here with us, Wurld takes us on a soulful fusion journey on issues concerning him and his craft, from ‘National Anthem’ which talks about his strength and boldness even though people are envying and waiting for him to fall to stories of love in ‘Story’, emotions and feelings are expressed in ‘Can’t Come Outside’ and the palm wine-themed love story in ‘Birthday Song and Palmwine riddim’. Three songs were released ahead of the official release of this tape and we have been enjoying it so far, the full body of work is here and we hope you enjoy it too.

DammyKrane – 4 D Girls
DammyKrane’s ‘4 D Girls’ EP is a 4-track Afrobeat tape for all music lovers, the songs on the tape are mostly songs that expresses love to the female gender hence the title ‘4 D Girls’. Track 3 ‘house party’ is sampled from Justin Bieber’s hit song ‘intentions’ and also talks about a girl Dammy seems to have a great affection for, the tape features Nana Boro and Bisa Kdei from Ghana and Nigerian producer Kiddominant. NiiQuaye assembled some of Africa’s most amazing musicians to feature on his debut project “Atomic Muse”. The 7 track tape tells a beautiful love and life story and with features from GoodGirl LA from Nigeria, Sister Debby, CJ Biggerman, Biqomusic, Alee, Cina, Wanlov, Boy D Larmie, Kojo Cue from Ghana and Tneeya representing Cameroon you know that this tape will give you all sorts of vibes and feelings, enjoy it.
