Here Are Some New Sounds Released This Week

NEW SOUNDS – WEEK 1

If there’s one thing we love than new music, it’s definitely getting you on new music. 2019 was such a great year for music, and we are already loving 2020 for all the experimental sounds out there. Cheers to another year of introducing you to new music. Let’s start the 2020 New Sounds season with songs we hope will be a significant part of the year.

1. ABC Mason – Ameliorated featuring Setor

Rapper and Spoken word artiste released his first single for 2020. AMELIORATED is inspired by his personal experiences while hoping for a better future and seeking the best out of the moment. The song featuring Setor is for anyone who needs some positive energy and motivation all year.

2. Erii featuring Young J – Emotions

The title for this song just describes what it is. Erii lays all his cards on the table before this said lover and hopes his love isn’t taken for granted. Emotions feature Young J. It’s one of those songs you leave on replay if you think you’re in love or something like that.

3. Bryan the Mensah – “Medicine”

On a sampled song from Jay-Z’s 4:44 produced by OKAIWAV Bryan speaks about financial literacy while serving us some mesmerizing visuals we love to see more than once.  Money making 2020, let’s get it.

4. Kwaku Bs – “Que Sera”

Kwaku Bs, one-six of La Même Gang comes through with some energy we didn’t even know we needed, and we love every bit of it. On this fast-paced high tempo beat, Kwaku BS is telling us to open our minds, live life to the fullest, have all the fun, and spread some positive energy – a sermon for 2020.  Stream Que Sera on all streaming platforms by clicking on the link below:

5. MzVee – “Sheriff”

The song. The video. We don’t know which we like more, but we like the fact that MzVee is back. Sheriff warns everyone about this new Sheriff in town, reminding us that it really isn’t just about the pretty face. This is just a perfect song for a comeback from the queen and we can’t get enough. Take your place queen. We love to see it.

6. Quamina Mp – “After Return”

The Ground Up hitmaker after a bomb 2019 released what seems to be the perfect ice breaker to the new year. On the legendary Zoo Gang’s “I like to move it” beat, Mp summarized the “Year of return” and prayed for good deeds this year. Are you ready to dance?

7. Dede – “See”

Confidence, Positivity and determination is that best friend who never leaves your side during tubulations. Dede’s “See” has a blend of Twi and Ga and a motivational song for the year. Get that big girl energy and march forward.

8. Medikal- El Chapo 

Whoever pissed Medikal off did quite a good job because he went so hard in his new freestyle “El Chapo”. The whole truth as the song is also called talks about some interesting things related to his music and the issues surrounding him and his relationship. 

9. Shatta Wale – “Akwele Take”

Shatta Wale expresses his love to his said lover on his new single “Akweley take”. The dancehall artist known for his popular dancehall songs decided to start the year with an Afrobeat song, looks like the afrobeats wave is catching up on everyone and we are definitely here for all of it. 

10. Khalifina ft Sister Debbie – Amanfuor Girls.

2020 is the year we fight for and take what we believe is rightly ours and that includes “Amanfuor Boys”, yes people’s boyfriends, I didn’t say that Khlaifina and Sister Debbie did. The two artistes team up to bring us a new song titled Amanfuor Boys, they give us some few tips on how to go for what we want and we will be doing just that.

1. King Brandon – “Infinity EP” (Tape)

Brandon’s Infinity is basically every young person looking in a mirror. The tape explores the complexities of family, friendship, and balancing one’s dreams. The trap based tape has a message for everyone irrespective of your taste in music. If you love trap, this is going right up on your playlist. If you don’t love trap, this is probably your gateway to more songs in this genre.
