WAVVI Partners With Rain Labs To Expand Services for African Artists

The West African music ecosystem is moving at a breakneck pace, and the infrastructure supporting independent creators is evolving just as fast. WAVVI, the rapidly rising music distribution and artist services platform built specifically for African creators, has just announced a major strategic partnership with Rain Labs, a heavy-hitting artist development, marketing, and strategy outfit. The link-up is designed to deliver premium, high-tier artist services directly to musicians across Ghana, Nigeria, and the broader West African landscape.

Having officially launched in Ghana earlier this year, WAVVI has already sent shockwaves through the local industry by onboarding over 10,000 users in its first two months of operations alone. That explosive growth instantly positions it as one of the fastest-growing music tech platforms in the region. Now, they are expanding their footprint way beyond standard distribution. Through this collaboration with Rain Labs, WAVVI is giving independent artists direct access to the kind of hands-on, heavy-duty strategic support needed to navigate modern releases, lock down audience growth, and map out truly sustainable global careers.

The synergy makes perfect sense. Rain Labs will deploy a robust suite of advisory and campaign services straight through the WAVVI platform. For the independent artist, this means the playing field is leveling out; acts can now tap into professional guidance covering release execution, artist development, DSP strategy, playlist pitching, localized marketing, social media acceleration, PR, and sync licensing opportunities.

At its core, WAVVI is a powerhouse that fuses digital music distribution, seamless mobile money payouts, deep-dive analytics, and modern artist tools into a single interface. By folding Rain Labs’ specialized expertise into this existing ecosystem, artists can now call on elite professional services at the most critical inflection points of their rollout, whether that means getting crucial early feedback during campaign planning or maximizing impact across global streaming platforms.

Speaking on the partnership, Tom Russell & Y’akoto, Co-Founders of WAVVI, said: “WAVVI was created to give African artists the tools, access and infrastructure they need to release, promote and earn from their music globally. Onboarding over 10,000 users in Ghana in our first two months shows the scale of demand from artists across the market. Partnering with Rain Labs allows us to add a premium artist services layer to the platform, giving artists not just distribution, but real strategic guidance around how to build their careers.”

While the rollout will initially focus on Ghana, the blueprint includes an aggressive expansion strategy across Nigeria and the wider West African market in the coming months. Practically, creators using WAVVI will have the autonomy to purchase specialized Rain Labs services directly through the platform dashboard. This includes everything from 1-on-1 release-strategy consultations and constructive artist feedback sessions to DSP positioning, playlist-pitching support, tailored social media strategy, end-to-end campaign planning, and curated sync-placement opportunities. It is a moves-heavy reflection of WAVVI’s overarching ambition to operate as the definitive one-stop digital hub for African artists by merging distribution, instant payments, data analytics, promotion, and professional growth under one roof.

Albert Donkor, Founder of Rain Labs, said: “Rain Labs is excited to partner with WAVVI to support the next generation of African artists. There is incredible talent across the continent, but many artists still lack access to professional strategy, marketing and development support. This partnership is about making those services more accessible and helping artists approach their releases with clarity, structure and ambition.”

The entire Rain Labs service catalog is slated to integrate seamlessly into the WAVVI platform in the coming weeks as part of WAVVI’s highly anticipated next phase of premium artist tools. Keep your eyes on this space as it reshapes how independent African music moves around the world.
