On Rotation: Songs You Need In Your Life This Week

Every week, the iMullar staff rounds up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, thus forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From the UK to Nigeria, each track from this week’s selections is guaranteed to be a vibe.

1. D-ONE ft. MICO THE BEST – Cutamba

The sounds from the East are just sonically appealing. The entire production will trap you in a merry zone while you sway gracefully on your feet. A beautiful record.

2. RM47, MAAD, Raleigh – FYF

The first five seconds and I am ready for a concert/rave with their full catalog. The BPM and the progressing volume increase with the vocals is masterfully done. Rave anthem 10/10.

3. L’Oiseau Rare – TCHALEY

Passed the vibe check on the very first listen. The record has been on repeat and honestly, I don’t think I will be letting up on it soon. Also, the title sounds like my country’s lingo, so you know *wink wink*.

4. Ama Louise ft. Tayc – Send Your Loving (Remix)

It’s always pleasing to have a record that perfectly encapsulates the euphoric feeling that comes with being a real lover. Ama Louise’s emotive vocals gives you butterflies and makes you want to fall more in love with each listen.

5. Zoomo & Navy Blue – Good Orderly Direction

A flow on a hauntingly harmonic beat, “fade away” repeating in intervals, this record is just masterfully made with elements to keep your attention from the beginning of the track to the end.

6. Daphne Monge – Butterflies

This is my introduction to Dahpne Monge and this record definitely keeps her on my radar. This being her second ever release, if she maintains consistency and a solid work ethic, the world is her oyster.

7. Emanuel Davies – I’m Sorry…

What got me intrigued with this record is the beat switch and the different flows that complemented each beat. The first minute keeps you sombre just like the artist as he lays his apology a calm beat, the switch keeps you in head-bopping motion till the end of the track.

8. KindlyNxsh – KAPTEIN

This record is for our trap lovers. The dialog before the first beat drop to the buildup to the second beat drop is just amazingly done. Get into it!

9. Lordkez – Boogie (Get Down)

lordkez has the unique ability to create dreamscapes with her music. With a disco-like beat and smooth vocals from lordkez, this record is like floating worry free in a beautiful dream. Her vocal range is also perfectly showcased here.

10. M’Chalant – Waterfall Flow$

I like when artists just showcase lyricism with a more tender flow that what we are used to regularly. Almost similar to dark room music. This makes you immersed in the story that the artist is trying to tell. A great record.
