Every week, the iMullar staff rounds up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, thus forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From the UK to Nigeria, each track from this week’s selections is guaranteed to be a vibe.
1. Dothkid Savage – Jonz
My favourite track off of his “A Flawed With A Perfect God” album. Unique sound and emotive vocals, Dothkid presents a quirky and eccentric sound into the music space.
2. Kwaku Benson, W9nted – Airplane Mode
A track to stand firm in your convictions and stay laser focused on your goals. The two artists deliver heartfelt verses on an attention grabbing beat, making this a must listen.
3. PARTYOF2, Jadagrace, SWIM – poser
The duo have captured the attention of the music audience this past week and rightfully so. Not only do they come through with unique and eccentric visuals, the track is a bop. Flows reminiscent of the early 2000’s rap, this duo may just cause a renaissance that will draw the young audience to the true art of HipHop.
4. Larry June, 2 Chainz & The Alchemist – Life Is Beautiful
The Alchemist is simply a master in the production booth. With Larry June’s mellow and relaxed flow and 2 Chainz’s, well, need I say more?, this record is just the one to ease you into a calm state of mind. A very beautiful track.
5. Oseikrom Sikanii – Nonsense
You can tell Oseikrom definitely had fun recording this track and we appreciate him so much for it. A record to vibe and have fun with your friends on any night.
6. Kofee Bean & MAUIMØON – Taste
A perfect track for all the shared playlists for your partner, IYKYK. Two of the best fast-rising R&B acts from Africa, Kofee Bean and MAUIMØON give as a sensual anthem for the ages.
7. amaka. – want you more
A record I wouldn’t mind playing in the background all day. Soothing vocals from amaka. that just make you believe everything is going to be alright. A sonic masterpiece.
8. Benni Ola ft. Barny Fletcher – 360
Flow and beat during individual verses reminiscent of Party Rock, harmonies totally in sync throughout the track, this record is a feel good anthem you didn’t know you needed.
9. Ray Vaughn ft. Ash Leone – FLAT shasta
A spectacular storyteller, Ray speaks from his soul on a drum heavy production. On this track he speaks on his experiences living with his mom and his regrets on not being able to do more to help his mother. A must listen.
10. Yanga Chief – Great Gift Giver
Yanga Chief has expert mastery over his flow that it’s hard for him to not skate on any beat. This record is just a testament to his ability to produce a record that just keeps your attention from the moment you tap the play button.
