A Glance At SA : Milestones That You Might Have Missed


As we wrap up 2024, let’s celebrate some of our favorite songs that have each achieved and surpassed certain milestones across various digital streaming platforms, in no particular order. We also encourage our artists to keep the hits coming and deliver more club bangers and chart-toppers as we look ahead to 2025!

Zee Nxumalo and Dlala Thukzin are holding strong with “Ama Gear,” which has over 6 million Spotify streams and more than 2 million views on YouTube. We look forward to many more hits from them.

Usimamane is on a roll with his track “Uvalo” featuring Sjava, amassing over 4 million streams on Spotify and 1 million views on YouTube. His collaboration with Anatii and Tony Dayimane* in “Bank” is also impressive, boasting over 1 million streams on Spotify, while “Star” shines brightly with over 1 million Spotify streams. Usimamane shows no signs of slowing down as we eagerly anticipate even more milestones from his recently released album, 20th: Deluxe.

Uncle Waffles’ “Wadibusa,” featuring Pcee, Royal Musiq, and OHP Sage, is dominating the charts with over 19 million streams on Spotify and over 25 million views on YouTube. The festive season is sweeter than ever!

Tyler ICU is making waves with “Ebasini,” featuring TmanXpress, Visca, CeekaRSA, SJavasdadeejay, LeeMcKrazy, and Al Xapo, which has amassed over 9 million streams on Spotify. His club banger “Jealous,” featuring Khalil Harrison, LeeMcKrazy, and Ceeka RSA, is also performing well with over 10 million streams on Spotify.

Nasty C has surpassed an astonishing 1 billion streams worldwide across all platforms. Renowned for hits like “Particula,” “Lemons,” and “SMA,” he recently released the “Confuse the Enemy” EP, featuring Daliwonga, Zee Nxumalo, Lekaa Beats, and many others.

K.O has treated us to “Let Me Cook” featuring Maglera Doe Boy, which has garnered over 2 million views on YouTube and more than 3 million streams on Spotify within just five months of its release. His track “Too Much” featuring Nasty C is approaching 2 million YouTube views and cruising past 1 million Spotify streams in just two months. Indeed, it’s too much to handle!

“Mthandeni”, featuring Mawhoo, is lighting up the charts with over 4 million streams on Spotify and over 8 million views on YouTube within just one month of release. We eagerly await more from Mthandeni in the near future.

Emtee has blessed us with his long-awaited album, “DIY 3”, following much anticipation and encouragement from fans. In less than a week, “DIY 3” achieved gold status and has already surpassed 10 million streams across all digital streaming platforms. We are excited to hear more from Emtee. 

“Kwelanga 2.0”, featuring Bassie, MTouch, Ranger, Amaza, LeeMcKrazy, and TmanXpress, is heating up the charts with over 4 million views on YouTube and more than 8 million streams on Spotify. We can’t wait to hear more from this talented lineup.

Felo Le Tee’s track “Yebo Lapho,” featuring DJ Maphorisa, Scotts Maphuma, Thabza Tee, and DJ Biza, has surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify and over 3 million views on YouTube. Well done to the team!
