On Rotation: Songs You Need In Your Life This Week

Every week, the iMullar staff rounds up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, thus forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From the UK to Nigeria, each track from this week’s selections is guaranteed to be a vibe.

1. Kingsley Rymz ft Novo – Anabella

Kingsley Rymz’s lyrical prowess and unique ability to blend contemporary rap with traditional Ghanaian sounds is showcased on his new project and my personal favorite, “Anabella”.

2. Karun, Hook & GR! Ft M.anifest – WONDERING WHY

Soulful vocals are definitely good for the soul and Karun definitely has abundance of it. M.anifest’s verse, delivered with perfection, matches the calm and laid back vibe of the entire song.

3. Alemeda – I Hate Your Face

If you are in the mood to square up with your naysayers and negative nancys, here’s a perfect anthem for you.

4. Demmi ft Sh3lter – With My Hommies

These two totally complement each on this track. Demmi’s style fits all his features on his new project, “Hometown Hero’ but there’s a different type of synergy with Sh3lter that is showcased on all the track she appears on.

5. SRT Gwalla – Badman

He flows effortlessly on this Afroswing beat. His cadence from 0:26 – 0:35 was reminiscent of Kwesi Arthur‘s “Anthem” and Ramz “Barking” and piqued my curiosity a lot more. He’s definitely on artist on my radar.

6. Adanna Duru – Honest Liar

Adanna is one artist not bound by any rules and is not scared to explore and deliver unique tunes for her audience. Her venture into the Amapiano space with this track for me, was splendid.

7. Shakes & Les and LeeMckrazy – Funk 99

A track that was released late spring, dominated the summer and is still gearing to dominate the airwaves this fall, Shakes & Les have given us one of the best viral songs of 2024.

8. BINA – Self Assured

I listened to this song on a Saturday morning, put it in loop and immersed myself fully in it. From BINA’s sultry vocals to the instrumentation to the haunting melodies and harmonies, you simply cannot get enough of it all.

9. MAVI – the sky is quiet

One word: Poetry. Mavi’s style on this track makes me feel like I’m in class (The ones that you’re eager to be in).

10. Lifesize Teddy & Major AJ – Selina

The duo give us a little peak into a toxic relationship. Betrayals, gaslighting, cheating and stress.

On Rotation is your weekly dose of musical geniuses to your library. Our editors update this playlist frequently, so if you see something you like, go ahead and add it to your library.
