Every week, the iMullar staff rounds up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, thus forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From the UK to Nigeria, each track from this week’s selections is guaranteed to be a vibe.
1. Jords – Marley Flow
Compelling lyrics and masterful delivery. This is one of the best rap songs of this year.
2. Toofan – ZIGLIPATA
A feel good song all round. It’s the kind of song you play after a stressful day or whenever you are feeling down.
3. Ayisi & Worlasi – Everyday People
Two of the best storytellers in Ghana on a song together? This is a no brainer addition to my personal playlists. Ayisi and Worlasi speaks about the struggles and life of the everyday people, hustling and navigating through this jungle we call life.
4. Nailah Blackman – Pressure
You can never go wrong with this track as an icebreaker on the dancefloor. If your rizz game is not on point, then let this song do all the talking while you let your body translate it with it’s rhythm.
5. A. Valley, MJ the Sensei – Cosmic DNA
A lyrical journey from both artist. Mj the Sensei and A. Valley feed off each other on this track as they each take turns expertly delivering effortless flows and lyrics with their verses.
6. Ajebo Hustlers ft Raebel – Undecided
Their new project is filled with songs that cater for every listener. From slow jams to fast paced, heart-thumping bangers. This track featuring Raebel is for ones looking for love. In this current toxic love space, this track is perfect for those who don’t have the time for confused partners.
7. Zuchu ft Dadipolism – Zawadi
Zawadi is an anthem for hopeless romantics out there. Zuchu continues to prove that she’s a lover girl through and through and it translates in her music. Her melodies and vocals really tug at your heart strings that you can’t help but to want to fall in love as well.
8. Sp!da – Act Right
This track was made for people in relationships with cheating partners. Sp!da gives her partner a warning that if they don’t change their ways, she’ll walk away and find someone worthy.
9. PinkPantheress ft Rema – Another Life
The drum n bass princess and Prince of Rave. A dream collaboration on paper and reality as well. These two give us a song worthy of their nicknames.
10. Brume – Casanova
This track addresses the perception ladies have of certain due to how they carry themselves. Brume implores his love interest that he’s not a playboy (Casanova) and therefore shouldn’t shun him.
