On Rotation: Songs You Need In Your Life This Week

Every week, the iMullar staff rounds up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, thus forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From the UK to Nigeria, each track from this week’s selections is guaranteed to be a vibe.

1. SOV – Point

S.O.V calls on the listeners to embrace empathy and compassion over judgement.

2. K Dazee – time and place

This is the type of song you send your lover at 3am in the morning. A calm tune with a little boppy feel, perfect in conveying the message in the song.

3. Blenna – Don’t Cage Me

This track is an anthem for anyone that has ever felt confined by societal expectations or personal limitations.

4. Gdzilla – OT

After a brief hiatus, Gdzilla returns with this track that is guaranteed to have people on the inside, outside or even in the streets moving their feet and bodies all summer.

5. Bajii – Bonnie

Bajii sings the praises of his partner in crime/lover, telling the listeners just well she holds him down and supports him through thick and thin. Just like Bonnie did for Clyde.

6. Kyla Blac – Some Day

Goosebumps throughout the song. Kyla’s hypnotic vocals and harmonies perfectly syncs with beat creating a sonic dreamscape that will have the listeners toggling the “loop once” button.

7. Kami Leonne – For You

It’s rare to have artists take risks and introduce unique flows and sounds. Sometimes they hit and most they miss. In this situation, however, Kami Leonne’s melodies, timing and vocals perfectly blend to give you a lucid sonic experience. A great sound!

8. Savara & Murumba Pitch – Wewe Ni Fire

The production on this song almost got in me in a merengue. Vibrant production and the perfect synergy between the artist will have you on your feet from the start of the song to the end.

9. K-Trap – Whistle

The replay value of this track is insane. A track you can keep on loop all day and it would still sound like you’re listening to it for the first time, every single time.

10. Masicka feat Fave – Fight For Us

A collaboration we definitely needed as we are headed into festival season. A party starter, a bop, a hit; multiple definitions that we can use to describe this song. Fave showcases her versatility on this track, switching between flows without breaking the rhythm of the song, a rare skill.
