South African House DJ and Producer Duo Malumz On Decks made up of Oscar Nyathi and Mandla Mtshali after an impressive run of single releases crown it with the release of their EP Uzuri. Known for their captivating house, amapiano and dance records, the duo have been building up to the project since last year when they released their two pack Siyobonana featuring Pixie L, and Teka. They would follow it up with the single Skontiri in March 2024.
With three new additional singles, and features from Dearson, Kitchen Mess, and Murumba Pitch, Uzuri is the duo’s attempt to solidly their position as a house/dance power house in the industry. The projects blend of African instrumentation and electronic/house elements creates a balanced sound for not only a great listening experience but an energetic dance experience for ravers.
The addition of features with vocal offers a much-needed variety where people can also sing along as they groove. While each song has its own feel, the collective project offers a cohesive experience touching on the themes of celebration, joy and love. The project is projected to be well received by enthusiasts of house and dance genre worldwide.
