Every week, the iMullar staff rounds up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, thus forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From the UK to Nigeria, each track from this week’s selections is guaranteed to be a vibe.
1. Odumodublvck ft Amaarae – Kubolor
A collaboration we didn’t know we needed. At first listen, you just know it will automatically become a favorite.
2. Cruel Santino – Holiday Sniping
It’s really hard for Cruel Santino to miss on a track. A great blend of production, lyrics, and flow that will keep you on your feet from start to finish.
3. Jontae – Toxic Love Story
The strings at the beginning of the song will just get you in your feelings. The minimal production is made up for heavily with Jontae’s vocals. An Acapella-esque song that you know we will all be singing at Karaoke very soon.
4. Giftty – Where Do We Go?
Once in a while, you come across an artist whose vocals and talent make you believe they will be the next big thing. Giftyy is one such artist. “Where do we go” off his “Golden Boy’ EP is a mellow tune that allows you to focus on his amazing vocals and his lyrical storytelling.
5. OV – Saara
Well, I know what I’ll be requesting and dancing to at my next outing. OV comes through for our outside peeps who want to do more than just the 2-step on the dance floor.
6. Jesse Meru, MoutaBwoy & Big Stavv – Trust & Pain
Jesse Menu gives us a reminder that even through the pain, we should at least trust that the process, “our process”, will work out. As long as there is life, there is hope.
7. Ayisi – Atide
A great self-motivational song from Ayisi for us to stay on our grind, pun intended, and that when we reach our goals, it will be worth celebrating. Perfect recommendation for your playlists!
8. KASJ1E, Wipness – Turning Table
Music is a universal language and thus you don’t need to even understand what the artist is saying for you to love it. That’s the case for KAJ1E’s “Turning Table”. This song has not left my personal rotation since its release. I believe you’ll love it too.
9. Tomi Owo- All My Life
This song made a single person like me want to hit the street and search for my special person. For the lover boys and girls, it’s not even Valentine’s Day yet but you’ve got a song to make your partner feel so special.
10. Aema – DLT
A calm tune for the mellow Sundays and those car rides where you just want to vibe and reflect on yourself. An excellent groove of a song and one, that doesn’t take many a listen to fall in love with.
On Rotation is your weekly dose of musical geniuses to your library. Our editors update this playlist frequently, so if you see something you like, go ahead and add it to your library.
