Hot Off The Press

Fridays are the gateway to The Weekend and what is a Good Friday without some new songs to jam to? We bring you new sounds this and every Friday to launch you into the weekend and so whenever you hear these songs playing at your favorite spot, don’t forget who put you on…

● Ink Boy ft Sarkodie  – For Days

A lot of artists are getting into releasing two songs as a single and Ink Boy is the newest to join. On his new pack titled ‘For My Days’, Ink Boy features Sarkodie in an inspirational story that speaks about his journey from grass to grace and from having nothing to being where he is now. ‘Crazy Things’ is quite the opposite of For Days; it’s a look into the crazy things happening all around us, and indeed, a lot of crazy things are happening so you might want to get into it by clicking on the link below.

● Remy Baggins & YKB – Fire 4 Fire

Remy Baggins & YKB went a little sultry on this one. The sexual tension in this song cannot be hidden and you cannot play this in public unless the atmosphere and the mood require it. This song can definitely pass for a movie, specifically an adult movie if you know what I mean. It sets the mood right for any romantic activity that’s set to happen and I cannot wait to experience this.

● Tshego ft Raspy – Buya

The thing I like about Buya is that, even though it follows the popular amapiano sound, it’s not as fast-paced as the one we know. It is chilled, has a good vibe, and still follows the amapiano sound. The language is a mixture of English and one that I am not sure of but thanks to the little English language in it, I know the song is about love, good feelings, serenading each other, expressing feelings and just enjoying being in love. Don’t we love it? Yes, we do.

● Kelvyn Boy – For The Kulture

Kelvynboy is unarguably one of the few people who championed the Afrobeats wave in Ghana so putting out a project titled ‘For The Kulture’ is a great thing. It’s a journey and he’s been doing it pretty well. For The Kulture is a 7-song, 19-minute tape and it gets better after every track. The tape is filled with all the Afrobeats elements, the production, the lyrics, and everything is good. The tape features King Promise, Tekno, Babyboy AV, King Promise, and Stefflon Don.

● Efya – Jara Jara

After the success that Super Super chalked, Efya is out with a new banging single titled “Jara Jara”. Efya’s versatility needs to be a music course at the university; her vocal versatility and range are close to perfection. ‘Jara Jara’ is a feel-good song but also talks about unconditional love, love with no boundaries, and love that is meant to last forever. If you’re in a good mood, put this song on, if you’re in love and you’re sure about it, jam to this song with your lover and enjoy.

● Allan Harvey ft Haeven – In My Head

Lately, everyone has been in their heads, overthinking, indecisiveness, doubts, anxieties, and inferiority complex issues are on the rise. If you’re feeling like this, don’t worry, Allan Harvey and Haeven know exactly what it feels like to be in that space so they put it in a song titled “In My Head”. Listen and know that you’re not alone.

● Dusten Truce fka D – Truce & Wasalu – Left & Right

Once the beat of this song starts, you’ll find yourself tapping your feet and busting some silent moves. “Left & Right” is the type of song that gets you off guard and keeps you stuck on it till it ends and you might even wanna put it on repeat. The second verse goes off into the sensual realm and you might need an earpiece for that part because there are a lot of bad boy/bad girl lyrics in it and you’ll definitely enjoy it. Stream “Left & Right” on your preferred streaming platform via the link below.

● Zie – Last Leta

‘Last Leta’ is another catchy addition to Zie’s growing arsenal of songs. It retains the heart of the acclaimed hit, mirroring its vibrant blend of Afrobeats, Dancehall, and Hip-Hop with a different yet equally entertaining flow. Its accompanying video, however, embraces Zie’s roots, culminating in a stunning tribute to one of Ghana’s oldest districts, Jamestown.
