Fridays are the gateway to The Weekend and what is a Good Friday without some new songs to jam to? We bring you new sounds this and every Friday to launch you into the weekend and so whenever you hear these songs playing at your favorite spot, don’t forget who put you on…

● Jay Cliff – Wicked Summer

If you thought summer was over, I am sorry to break it to you that Jay Cliff’s “Wicked Summer” has reactivated summer again. The tape features 3 songs titled Unruly, Up to You, and E.N.D. and every song has its own message and vibe but each of them is related in a way that talks about Jay Cliff’s relationship with his girls. The tape focuses mainly on love, closure, heartbreaks, and heavy emotions.

● Quamina MP – Warm Up

In Quamina MP’s own words, Warm Up is a 6-track Amapiano capsule that puts you in all sorts of jolly moods and you know what, he didn’t lie. Amapiano is hot and a lot of artists are tapping into it and adding their own distinct touches which I believe is amazing. If you’re looking to enjoy a new wave of Amapiano songs that will still have you busting all the moves and showing your amapiano skills, then this is the jam you have been waiting for.

● Tha Boy Myles – Level Up

Every artist has a story and the best way for them to tell their story is by putting it into a song and that’s exactly what Tha Boy Myles did on his new EP titled ‘Level Up’. The 7-track tape Fave, Wande Coal, and Bnxn fka Buju. He sings about the wahalas of life, love, expressing emotions and simply being open about what or who you love and we are all for it. ● SGaWD – Dump All Your Worries on the Dance Floor

A moment of silence for the title of this song. I absolutely love it. Because who doesn’t have worries and who doesn’t want to dump all their worries on the dance floor? SGaWD really went off in the intro and then transitioned into some sort of sultry-ish vocals after, went back into rap, and ended with some sort of evil laughter lyrics. The entire 2 minutes 37 seconds was very very enjoyable and I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

● Myx quest ft Mellissa – Mine Mine Mine

Before I pressed play on this song, I had an idea of what to expect and it didn’t disappoint at all. Halfway into the song, I am still bumping my head to Mellissa’s vocals that flow perfectly on Myx Quest’s production. The song embodies every aspect of deep feelings, falling in love, sensual things and all that comes with it. With the way the rains are falling lately, this song perfectly fits the weather. Enjoy!!!

● Kelvin Kay – Bonafide Lover

I’ve said this a thousand times and I am saying it again today, if the boys decide to sing about love, it means they are deep into a relationship, experiencing a heartbreak, or wanting more of someone’s love and they always kill the songs. Kevin Kay says he is a “Bonafide Lover”, such a lover boy title for this EP. Featuring songs like Darling, Black African Girl, Dangerous, and 3 other songs, the 6-track tape takes us on a journey of hopeless love, vulnerability, doing risky things for love, and deep expressions of feelings. Enjoy.

● Essumann – Cheddar

Ain’t nobody got time for games and drama, all we want is money. Essumann makes it a lot clearer in his new single “Cheddar” which is another word for Money. The message about wanting to get money and becoming wealthy is heard in a lot of songs but this one is a little different. Essumann believes he has a lot to prove to people, especially the ones who don’t believe he can make it to the top. This story is relatable and a lot of people will definitely run with it. If it is something you may be interested in, listen to Cheddar on your preferred DSP via the link below.

● Thomas The Great, O’Kenneth – Snow Snore

I don’t know who is upsetting the Drill community because of the heat they’ve been bringing lately… chefs kiss. Thomas The Great and O’Kenneth joined their superpowers and put on this head-bumping, feet-tapping, banging song called “Snow Snore”. There’s a lot to say about this song but I wouldn’t do justice to it as much as listening to it will do, so click on the link below and enjoy this jam.
