Nigerian singer-songwriter and acclaimed master of Afropop, Adekunle Gold, releases a 3-song bundle, “Tio Tequila”. This release is an antecedent to his incoming album and Def Jam debut due this July.
With a natural ability to blend genres seamlessly, Adekunle Gold inculcates his signature Afropop sound with elements of Afrobeats, R&B, and Amapiano. With Kel-P producing all three songs, “Tio Tequila” is a testament to Adekunle Gold’s irresistible charm and innovative musical mastery. The bundle features his recently released Zinoleesky-featured hit song, “Party No Dey Stop“, along with two previously-unreleased songs, “Do You Mind”, a sexy, summer anthem, and “Omo Eko” which serves as a tribute to his hometown of Lagos (Eko).
“Tio Tequila” is an unprecedented project, with Adekunle Gold showing off his hype man abilities, prepping us for the summer while also taking the reins of Afropop’s most competitive season.
Adekunle Gold is also set to hit summer festivals, start his four-month world tour in North America in September, and carry on across the UK, Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and the Caribbean through 2024.
