On Rotation: Songs you need in your life this week

Every week, the iMullar staff round up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From South to West Africa, to the UK, each track is guaranteed to be a vibe.

1. Scammers Online by Dkaywise

This song caught me off guard, I do not know what I was expecting, but Dkaywise took me on a journey of a new sound that is due to be explored. The artist truly has a sound of his own and is someone to keep on your radar.

2. LOCATION 58 by BURUKLYN BOYZ featuring AJAY and Mr Right

If you like drill, then this one is for you, BURUKLYN BOYZ is a rap duo from Nairobi, Kenya, from the Buruburu Area. They are bringing something new to Nairobi as they make drill songs in Swahili. They are currently taking Kenya by storm and are yet to do the same worldwide.

3. No Type by Loco All Day featuring Flame’O and Yarwteasy

When I first heard the beat drop, I was not expecting to listen to a song about love-making. Either way, I love this song. A new track from Loco Allday’s latest EP ‘Unfuckwitable’ an album that cannot go unlistened to.

4. Baby by Nia Ramzy

Nia Ramzy is an artist that you should keep on your radar. This is a beautiful love song that would go coupled well with a few drinks by the pool. I thoroughly enjoyed all 2mins and 25secs of this track. I cannot wait to hear more from Nia.

5. Moko by Twitch 4EVA

I am sure you have heard about Twitch 4EVA, and if you haven’t, this is a great introduction to the emerging artist. This song perfectly represents his talent and arguably why he is next up. Get into ‘Moko’ as the artist shares new visuals for the single.

What a beautiful love song. Geekaydon brings back a nostalgic sound with his new track ‘Follow you’. This song gives pure wedding vibes. It’s defintely one to add to your favourites playlist.

7. Walantu Walansa by Yaw Billz and Kay Blaq

If you haven’t heard this song already, I suggest you get into it. An upbeat Afrobeats tune giving the vibes it needs to give for a perfect summer. Add ‘Walantu Walansa’ to your favourites playlist, as this song is bound to get your friends in the mood before hitting the streets.

8. London Bridge by Merry-Lynn

Nigerian artist Merry-Lynn’s sound is so refreshing. She is definitely an artist that you need to keep on your radar. Her recent track ‘London Bridge’ is a perfect example of why you need to keep your eye on this emerging artist.
