  1. Ayra star featuring Foushée – Snitch

Mavin Record’s new diamond dropped her album weeks ago, and currently holds the number one spot in the charts. Her joint single with American singer Foushée is one of the type, peak trap soul vibes with soothing voices from both singers.

  1. Victor AD featuring Mr Eazi – Black

On his new EP, Victor collaborates with one of Africa’s finest acts, on a record that pulls strings of hip-hop and Afrobeats. The song tackles the problems that come with having dark skin, Mr. Eazi’s verse sums up the transparency of the song.

  1. Gyakie – Need Me

After her smash single ‘Forever’ which shot her into the spotlight, the Ghanaian Afrofusion singer is back with her new release, ‘Need Me’. A song that runs on the ups and downs of love, fueled by her buoyant vocals. Ghana’s very own songbird has never sounded so sweet.

  1. Tiwa Savage featuring Amaarae – Tales By Moonlight

From Tiwa’s newest EP Water and Gari, she links up with Ghanaian singer Amaarae to create a seductive joint called ‘Tales By Moonlight’ with catchy lyrics mixing elements of soul, the 90’s with a touch of African flow.

  1. Benjiflow – Go

Following the 2020 release of his critically-admired project BENERGY, ‘Go’ is Benjiflow’s first release of this year, the salsa-tinged single is in his unique blend of R&B and alte. The music video filmed with zero cuts is gorgeous and vibrant, really highlighting Benjiflow’s versatility.

  1. Wizkid featuring Buju – Mood

From the deluxe version of Wizkid’s Made in Lagos featuring Nigeria’s latest music sensation, Buju, this is one to set the “mood” indeed. In Wizkid’s signature laid-back style, the two crooners bless our ears with the sweetest of melodies.

  1. Shaybo featuring Jorja Smith – My Sister

After being the sole feature on Jorja Smith’s album, the favor is returned for Shaybo and thus, we have the heartfelt offering ‘My Sister’. The track featured on Queen of the South, and accompanying visuals, filmed in a beautiful church, shows a more vulnerable side to Shaybo.

  1. NSG – Petite

“Shake it, baby, don’t break it” is permanently on loop in my head. The latest summer bop from NSG on stellar JAE5 production is guaranteed to bring vibrancy to any end-of-summer party. each member takes their turn to shine on the track. The song is a vibe, the visuals are a vibe, NSG is a vibe.

  1. S.O. – Kinda love

From his EP, Larry Ginni Crescent, the Texas-based international rap artist S.O. has provided us with the perfect summer Afropop record, Dedicated to his wife, we have the very romantic lyrics detailing their love all over infectious afrobeat rhythms.

  1. Major League DJz, Abidoza ft. Jay Sax – Careless Whisper

The sax. The saxophone on this track. Really an entire article dedicated to what Jay Sax did on this track is needed but this paragraph should have to suffice. A collaboration with my favourite South African ampiano DJs, the old track revived and given new life comes off the 2020 Major League X Abidoza project What’s the Levol.
