Open Call: Audiomack x Youngtrepreneurs Producers Workshop

Are you a budding music producer trying to understand how to properly monetize your craft?  Do you want to learn more about music publishing and artist relations?
If you answered yes to either of these questions then Audiomack x Youngtrepreneurs have an exciting and rewarding workshop for you!
As part of Audiomack’s commitment to pushing and elevating African music on the continent,  Audiomack Africa has partnered with Scilla Owusu and her youth-centered enterprise, Youngtrepreneurs to bring African producers around the continent and right here at home in Ghana a new developmental workshop.
Aided by a $5000 donation from Audiomack, Youngtrepreneurs is hosting a four-day producers program scheduled to take place this summer from the 15th of July to the 18th at BBnz Live in Accra, Ghana. Regarding the donation, Audiomack Africa’s VP of Brand Strategy and Marketing Jason Johnson reiterated the organization’ commitment  to empowering the next generation of creatives whilst making meaningful contributions to the communities they operate in, With this donation, we aim to not only upskill the next generation of African creatives but ultimately, promote African music”
The overall project is dedicated to building the capacity and knowledge bases for creatives operating within the music production sector with program participants set to have instructors from a range of different backgrounds from award-winning producer Kuvie to Audiomack Africa’s own Jason Johnson and many more industry experts ready to share their knowledge.
 In addition to these sessions, producers also have the opportunity to present their chosen beat to Ghana’s finest, dancehall superstar, Shatta Wale for a chance to feature the 1 DON on their very own professionally mixed and mastered record, ready for distribution. The prize also includes a comprehensive 3-month promotional package including radio & TV Interviews,  press materials, a professionally shot music video, and future royalties from their record. The opportunity is open to African producers around the continent who will be able to join the workshop remotely online for those who cannot attend the workshop physically.
Application to the program is free but in line with Youngtrepreneurs vision for creatives who are ready to invest in themselves and their craft, chosen participants will be able to select between three paid tiers from $35 to $100 to decide how immersive their experience will be. Youngtrepreneurs is however partnering with FemmeAfrica, a Nigerian company dedicated to helping women in music find a safe space to sponsor any one part of the organization who would like to apply to the workshop.
Perks for every participant include a free sign-up to Songtrust, a global music publishing resource in addition to 30 days pro bono services from experienced entertainment lawyers at Whitestone Solicitors and Consultancy.
This initiative is part of several partnerships on the continent fostered by Audiomack such as the Afrochella Rising Star competition to continue to support and highlight emerging African musicians with resources and opportunities.
