Each week, The iMullar staff rounds up the songs we cannot stop listening to in the new “iMullar Now!”
In this week’s edition, we have songs from Gyakie, Teni, JAE5, E.L., Idahams, Stonebwoy, Say’hu, Bryan the Mensah, Rayvanny, and KwakuBs making up our list for the ten songs you need in your life in no special order available on Apple Music and Spotify.
1. Gyakie feat. Omah Lay – “Forever (Remix)” (Prod. by Kros)
Sending our love and congratulations to Gyakie for all her success and recently joining the RCA UK family, she’s shining her light and we absolutely love to see it. Celebrate her by streaming the remix to her song “Forever” with Nigerian singer Omah Lay, available on all music streaming platforms. 2. Teni – “MOSLADO” (Prod. Ozedikus)
If we had one word to describe Teni’s song “MOSLADO”, it would simply be “smooth.” Her silky voice effortlessly glides over the contagious Ozedikus production, leaving us yearning for more whenever the song ends. Oh yes, yes, it’s that infectious.
3. JAE5 feat. Skepta & Rema – “Dimension” (Prod. JAE5)
Let’s update our playlists, shall we. A perfect new addition to everyone’s lists will be “Dimension” by British-Ghanaian producer Jae5 featuring Skepta and Rema. We can guarantee repeated plays, they all bodied the track.
4. E.L. feat. Ayisi – “We Don’t Know” (Prod. by E.L)
E.L’s heavily anticipated album “WAVs (West African Vibes)” has finally been released and the wait was definitely worth it. The 13 track album has thrilling sounds from start to finish. “We Don’t Know” with Ayisi is a prime example of the quality content found on the project. Be sure to check it out.
5. Idahams – “God When”
So far, 2021 has been an amazing year for project releases from buzzing artistes all over the Motherland. Nigerian singer Idahams is a prime example of pure artistry with his freshly released project, “Man on Fire (Deluxe). Its second track, “God When” is one of our new favorite songs. Check it out here.
6. Stonebwoy – “Strength and Hope” (Prod. by Kabaka Pyramid & Genius 1)
Stonebwoy sends good vibes through his single, “Strength and Hope.” The song serves as a fervent prayer during times of difficulty for stability and faith to make it through life’s storms as a champion. It’s heartwarming.
7. Say’hu feat. Tailbeh Izzy – “Thank God”
“Thank God we’ve made it this far” is a line from Gambian MC Say’hu song, “Thank God” that I’m sure we can all relate to. His song of thanksgiving is a testament to how blessed he is, and we can all certainly connect with it as well. Enjoy it here.
8. BRYAN THE MENSAH – “Problem No Dey Finish” (Prod. by OkaiWav)
BRYAN. THE. MENSAH! Wow. He left us completely speechless with our jaws wide open after listening to his recent single, “Problem No Dey Finish” for the first time. Experience this for yourself by listening to it here.
9. Rayvanny – “Kiuno”
Tanzanian megastar Rayvanny stays consistent with releasing sophisticated visuals that are simply appealing to the eye. Enjoy his latest video to “Kiuno”, found on his “Sound From Africa” album here.
10. KwakuBs feat. Hama & Froy3 – “Kazan” (Prod. by Nxwrth)
The only problem we have with this song is that it is too short. “Kazan” by KwakuBs featuring Hama and Froy3 is definitely another song that warrants hours of endless plays. Do yourselves a favor and add it to your drill playlists.
