In this week’s edition, we have songs from E.L, Teephlow, Ayra Starr, Eno Barony, Patoranking, D’blaze, Mr. Eazi, Davido, MzVee and Urban Village making up our list for the ten songs you need in your life in no special order available on Apple Music and Spotify.
1. E.L – “Nobody Send You” (Prod. by E.L)
E.L’s latest single, “Nobody Send You” is full of quotables. The race is not to the swift; “so if you rush wey you go crush, my brother make you no dey bore, ‘cuz nobody send you.” This life we dey live is really not a rat race, LOMI hit it right on the nail.
2. Teephlow featuring Samini – “Elevation”
Start your weeks off right with “Elevation” by Ghanaian rapper Teephlow featuring Samini. The song is their appreciation to the Heavenly Father as they sing praises for His wonderous works in their lives.
3. Ayra Starr – “Away”
Mavin Records’ recent signee, Ayra Starr is the new girl on the street and she’s already making her mark. Her song “Away” is certainly the song of the moment as it has stolen the hearts of many within weeks of its release. It’s a must have in your libraries.
4. Eno Barony featuring Efya – “Yentie Obiaa” (Prod. by Willis Beatz)
“Ladies First”, Eno Barony’s latest album contains excellence crafted solely by women. We cannot get enough of her song “Yentie Obiaa” with Efya; enjoy it here.
5. Patoranking featuring Flavour – “Mon Bébé”
There’s nothing more exciting than getting visuals to accompany your favorite songs. Patoranking recently released the vibrant video to “Mon Bébé” featuring Flavour, which can be found on his “Three” album. Watch it here.
6. D’blaze – “Jo”
Rising Nigerian artiste, D’blaze is out with his debut EP, “Starson” and it gives off catchy, energetic vibes. If you’re looking for new music to get into, we highly recommend you start off with “Jo”, the first track on the project.
7. Mr. Eazi – “The Don” (Prod. by EKelly & Killertunes)
Don Eazi is set to release a new project in a few weeks called, “Something Else” that we are eagerly looking forward to. “The Don”, the first single from the project has been unlocked, and you can enjoy it here as we wait for the full EP to drop on the 21st of February.
8. Davido featuring Mayorkun – “The Best”
Davido never disappoints with the authenticity of his videos. “The Best” featuring Mayorkun was honestly such a delight to watch, and even includes a cameo from Wande Coal. Enjoy it here.
9. MzVee featuring Sarkodie – “Balance”
Mzvee and Sarkodie delivered on “Balance”, the second song on MzVee’s 2020 album, “Inveencible” and you can catch it’s new vibrant visuals here. Enjoy!
10. Urban Village – “Dindi”
Soweto quartet, Urban Village manifest the influence of their surroundings in their debut album, “Udondolo”, which highlights their traditional roots which blends folk music with pieces of rock, funk, mbaqanga and isicathamiya. We absolutely adore how sweet-sounding their track, “Dindi” on the album is. Give it your ear here.
