Week 48 of Hot Off The Press


Each week, we accumulate a list of newly released songs that we think you should hear because music is the only universal language of peace and love. Here are some of the best releases you may have missed this week and don’t forget who put you on these sounds. The “Hot Off The Press” playlist is available on Apple Music, Spotify and Audiomack.

This list will be updated every day with new sounds released this week till Sunday.

Darkovibes featuring Stonebwoy – Inna Song Remix

Inna Song, released earlier this year has been topping charts for months. Currently, the number one song on the Apple Music 2020 Top Songs, Darko Vibes teams up with Stonebwoy to deliver a remix to the already top-charting song. Good vibes, classic tunes, and perfect collaboration. 

Rjz featuring Mugeez – Anaju 

Everything is perfect with the right music, ‘Anaju’ by RJZ, and Mugeez sets the mood for late-night conversations and nighttime activities. Great vocals layered on a Paq production, 2 minutes of hi-life melodies describing sensual moments, and a cozy vibe for your listening pleasure, Enjoy. 

King Promise featuring Shatta Wale – Alright 

‘Alright’ is an inspirational song that sends a message of hope, and can easily pass for a December banger. This year has been extremely difficult and what another way to end the year than having hope that everything will be alright. King Promise lays his sweet vocals on this song, singing in English, pidgin and ga whiles Shatta Wale featured with the dancehall groove. Listen to this song knowing that everything will definitely be alright.

Liya – Melo

Davido Music Worldwide premieres new music titled “Melo” by its first female signee– Liya. The song produced by Zaqi Magic is the lead of her upcoming album set to be released in 2021.  The song sees Liya delivering sweet vocals in English and her native dialect, fingers crossed for more beautiful songs from Liya. 

Beverly Yoh  – Chioma 

Chioma,” is a mid-tempo Afro-pop record by Nigerian singer Beverly Oh. The Single which has elements of Afrobeats inspired by traditional eastern Nigerian sound was produced by the A-List producer, Selebobo. Chioma is a song inspired by the goodness of God and the positives from 2020. Chioma, which means “Good God” in the Igbo dialect holds meaning in its title and still gives a groovy vibe. The songstress uses the song to describe God’s unlimited blessings in her.

En Kay B – Grace m

‘Grace’ speaks the thoughts of a person who is being hit hard by life but still have the hope of a better tomorrow. The first verse talks about the person accepting their situation and believing there will be a better tomorrow for them and the second verse is that same person speaking life into their future as if it had already happened, recognizing that God’s Grace is keeping them alive to manifest that future.

Minz – BDMN 

When you hear the intro, “Minzulode” you already know it’s a jam repeat worthy. BDMN is a story of hood lovers representing a ghetto feel of the legendary Bonnie and Clyde. BDMN is an Afro-fusion sound with a feel-good vibe that makes you want to go on a rampage with your ride or die. 

Bomba – Ajua

‘Ajua’ tells a story of a girl wanting a comfortable love life solely dependent on luxury but eventually ending up in a trap. Bomba explains people’s desire for comfort and luxury without thinking of the end results in a 3-minute Afro-fusion song titled ‘Akua’. 

Bryan Lee – Esi Bodoma

Esi Bodomah is a highlife infused trap song by BryanLee. The song features fast-rising Ghanaian artist Tesla Ranking, who sings and raps over the menacing instrumental. Tesla Ranking’s lyrics is about memories of a past relationship and the good things that it came with. 

Phyno featuring Peruzzi  – For The Money 

There’s a lot of things people are willing to do for money, no doubt about it. Phyno and Peruzzi have come together to tell us more about what they are willing to do to experience financial freedom. The traditional-afrobeats tune serves as an inspiration and a song to jam to, killing two birds with one stone, enjoy.

Guilty Beatz featuring Dj Vyrusky, Oxlade and KiDi – All My Love

Guilty Beatz is out again with another love song featuring Dj Vyrusky, Oxlade, and Kidi. There’s a good feeling that comes with knowing there’s someone willing to give you all their love with no conditions. KiDi and Oxlade talk about the extent of the love they are willing to give out in the song titled, “All My Love” 

Nizzy – Bombay

Afrofusion artist, Nizzy continues his winning streak with the release of his pop pounding new single “Bombay”, crafted in collaboration with burgeoning producer Studio Magic (Naira Marley “Issa goal”), and the first single off of his soon to be released EP “Pillow Therapy Vol.2.


“EARGASMS” is a musical experience that listeners will not soon forget. The video will infuse an uplifting attitude to the listeners through the dancing and Dj Emeezy’s presence. With leading songs like Sere featuring Fireboy, Dis Love featuring Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, Tonight featuring Omah Lay, and Confam featuring King Promise, the album boasts not only of fine features but also boasts of a variety of genres; afro-Caribbean, Afrobeats and hiplife and R&B.

PsychoYp – National Anthem 

PsychoYp is not letting his guards down anytime soon, delivering good music back to back, his new 2-track tape “National Anthem” is a simple flex of musical dexterity. Track 1, ‘Flex’ features frequent collaborator, Azanti and Lyta, and track 2 features Oxlade and Merry-Lynn. These two songs may be his last songs for the year and that’s perfectly fine because these songs are instant hits.

The rap god’s forthcoming EP “For What It’s Worth” is scheduled to be released in a week. Two singles titled ‘Super Sonic’ and ‘Go Low’ have been released ahead of the tape which features Zilla Oaks & J-Town and Kelvynboy respectively.
