With African music being the centre of attention nowadays, people naturally tend to focus more on West African music but I think it is about time to take a precise look at East African music. When it comes to Sounds From The East, you know The iMullar is your plug! With their diverse beat and flow, this week’s selection features artists like Eaz da Bully, Nadine, Eddy Kenzo, Weasel, Lynda Dawn, Willy Paul, Ali Zaki, Maya Amolo, King Kaka, Niile and Le Ru.
1. “Lost Summer” – Eaz Da Bully featuring Nadine
The 2 Sudanese acts teamed up to give us a mellow summertime anthem and we love it! Eaz Da Bully never fails to deliver dope bars and Nadine’s vocals are an absolute pleasure. Check it out
2. “I Know” – Maya Amolo
R&B rising act, Maya Amolo from Kenya, blessed us with an amazing EP: “Leave Me At The Pregame”. “I Know” is our favourite track on this splendid creation and if you do not know about Maya Amolo you definitely need to check her out! You will be obsessed with her velvety vocals and the way she masters the art of storytelling.
3. “Mugole” – Eddy Kenzo
The Ugandan superstar is back with a dynamic track in which he addresses love and deceptions. Check it out and catch some vibes!
4. “Nakulove” – King Kaka featuring Pascale Tokodi
Kenya’s finest MC, King Kaka released the first track of his joint album with Pascal Tokodi. The song is a lively one in which we are transported to both of their universes! We can not wait for the joint project.
5. “Roses” – Lynda Dawn

The sweet and spicy hummingbird from Nairobi is back at it again! On this jazz-trap instrumental, she shows strength in vulnerability and self-expression by taking pride in her individuality, growth, creativity as well as what she stands for! It should be back on streaming platforms very soon.

The young Somali pop act released a superb sweet jam in which he demonstrates the love he has for his soulmate. A typical Somali love song you should hear!
8. “The Words” – Niile Featuring SimplyAzza
Sudan’s very own, the one and only Niile teamed up with SimplyAzza to give us a mid-tempo banger! The song is all about vibes and good times, their chemistry womb have you replaying the song multiple times, believe us! A song you can listen to while cruising or chill.
9. “Raha Mbaya” – Willy paul featuring Ruby
“Raha Mbaya” is the latest track of Willy Paul, the wonderful Kenyan vocalist! He has joint forces with the beautiful Ruby to deliver a love song in which they dress a certain “bad pleasure”. Enjoy this sweet Swahili jam.
