Afropurps is a group of individual artists namely Odartei, DTM NASCAR, Dessy Frydays, Kelvin black and tazerkoree. The group came together to work on projects as well as rehearse, and make music that can be performed together at various gigs. Its also more like a creative movement /lifestyle, the type of sounds they make is quite different and unique from the regular genres. They make urban sound with a mix of afro swing, r and b and trap music. This is the first-ever Boy Band after the likes of Osibisa and a few others who according to them have been a great inspiration. The band has released two songs titled Synergy and No Subject, synergy(the combination of energies) talks about individual struggles and realities of life whiles no subject, an r and b sound that talks about an imaginary girl that has played and toiled with the heart of all them and made them fall in love with her, oh and she left them eventually, girl power I must say.
