Artiste : CocoTrey
Song Title: Ego
Producer: Tom Beatz
Mix Master: Tom Beatz
Coco is sending out a simple message in her new song Ego, “I stand out and seem to be different from all the musicians I know, I am a bad girl with ego and my demeanour isn’t for soft people, I have experienced lots of negative attitude towards me and this new song “EGO”, I believe, sent a message across” . Coco knows who she is, what she wants and how to deal with everything and everybody, that’s the type of energy everybody needs these days if your Ego is as big a Coco’s, then you need to listen to this song.
Artiste: Wizkid
Song Title: Joro
Producer: Northboi
Starboy is at it again, and this time it is the release of his most anticipated song, Joro. Some artistes have cultivated a new strategy these days, that is teasing their fans with the artwork or bits of their new music weeks before its officially released and Wizkid is definitely the leader of this group because he has been teasing us with this particular song for weeks and then he released on Nigeria’s Independence Day. The song sees Wizkid deliver his signature vocals over head-nodding mid-tempo beats and that’s what makes it great. The songs come with a simple but amazing video with actress Georgia Curtis giving us some serious dance moves, it’s time to get our waist working again.
Artiste: Hannes OF ft $pacely
Song Title: Ties
Producer: Jenkins/Kenxshin
Mix Master: Egalitarian Studios
Hannes OF releases his new single titled ‘Ties’ featuring La Meme Gang’s $pacely. His music is based on the experiences he goes through. In his latest single, ‘Ties’, OF talks about refusing to accept fake love from his peers, dealing with disappointment from his very own “day ones” and resolving to focus on his goals and aspirations of making it big without them. The song kicks off with a memorable hook by $pacely, summing up the whole theme of the song – cutting off ties from fake people.
Artiste: Spacely ft Magnom & Cina Soul
Song Title: Somimu
Producer: Moor Sound
The Finessed Or Be Finessed journey continues today as Spacely releases the 8th song on the Extended Play, Somimu which features Magnom and Cina Soul and produced by Moor Sound. ‘Somimu translated to English is Hold Me, a love song that’s here to put us in different types of feelings. The chorus is my favourite part it sings “somimu, fe ma no, nkomo d3, me do wo dabiaa – hold me, kiss me, nice conversation, I’ll love you all the time, Spacely is definitely finessing us with all these love lyrics and we can’t help but fall. Magnom comes through with the cool vibes, it looks like a bad man is falling in love, simple verse but one that you’ll get stuck to and Cina Soul never disappoints with her ever beautiful voice blending ga and English to give us such an amazing verse. The EP is can be preordered on Apple Music, the entire tape will be out on the 11th of October, get ready to be Finessed by Spacely.

Travis has been in the news a lot this week, but we are more interested in the positive one, his new release, Highest In The Room, his first song as a lead artist since AstroWorld. The track has been highly anticipated since he’s been teasing and performing the track for months. The release of this song adds to the many great things Travis has given fans throughout the year, fans got a taste of Travis’ life on tour, his transition into fatherhood via his Netflix documentary, Look Mom I Can Fly and his AstroWorld Festival that is set to happen in November. The film also documented the journey leading up to the release of his commercially successful album ASTROWORLD. Artiste self-producing their own songs these days is a new level of creativity that has been unlocked, writing, recording and producing his new song, Kpakpo Lee comes through with a new jam called Over Speed. The beats that come with this song is really on a speed level, a trap banging beats for the streets. The song he says was inspired after he listened to “Arcy boyz” by Jugger, a Canadian up and coming artiste, the message he is trying to send out is for the youth to speed up their game in whatever field they find themselves be it in the corporate world or creative arts world, he is saying you need to speed up, work hard and all will make perfect sense soon. P.S.A: don’t listen to Over Speed when driving. Listen to Over Speed by Kpakpo Lee on SoundCloud.
TAPES
Artiste: Rema
EP Title: Bad Commando
Mavin Records golden boy is back again with a 4 tracklist Extended Play titled Bad Commando, Rema continues to prove to us that he is going to be around for a very very long time. The Extended Play is more like a follow up to his previous EP, the freestyle Ep, the tape is made up of four beautiful songs titled Bad Commando, Lady, Rewind and Spaceship Joycelyn. Musical prowess shown fully on this project, I love it I must say. Wonderboy is here to stay for real.
Artiste: Summer Walker
Album Title: Over It
The album is finally here and it’s not a hot girl summer type of album, summer is over and hot girls are falling in love, being emotional and expressing their feelings in various ways. Summer Walker expresses all these emotions in an 18-track album titled Over It. Summer definitely doesn’t sound the way she looks, you need to listen to her songs to understand her more, Over It is more of a real-life story translated into lyrics and beats, from the first song Over It, to the third song Playing Games, an extended version which features Bryson Tiller through to Like It featuring 6lack down to the last song a remix of Girls need Love featuring Drake, every song on the album is so real and relatable and I promise you’ll love this.
