My Thought And Synopsis of Each Song

Creativity is essential as an artist. The ability to create and convey ideas and thoughts is such a beautiful thing, especially when it is packaged in the form of music. AI and EL were able to do just that, in their collaborative Extended play entitled The LinkOp.” The LinkOp is an eclectic mix of sounds and vibes infused with sheer creativity. This extended play consists of 7-tracks which range from Afrobeats, highlife, hiplife, Dancehall, hip-hop to Reggae. The LinkOp has a bit of everything for every one.

Let’s dive into my thought and synopsis of each song.

1. THE LINKOP

“Only real things when we link up. More money, more moves, more family.” Being the first track on this EP, LINKOP is a complete vibe. This track has a unique Afrocentric vibe infused with hip hop elements. EL does not disappoint as he drops a few bars within the track. This track ends with a convo discussing finding the right name for the tape, which we all know now is called the LINKOP.

2. MA SUMOR BO

I am a sucker for songs in Ga, so ‘MA SUMOR BO’ was an instant favorite. ‘MA SUMOR BO’ is a danceable song that will have you busting a move. AI adds a perfect touch smooth vocals and endearing lyrics. My favorite line in this tune has to be, “I don’t give my love to nobody no no no until Armageddon don come.”

3. KILLA

‘KILLA’ is a chill track, which can still get any party started. AI gives a dancehall type vibe with his delivery and flow.

4. FOR 2

‘FOR 2’ is on a grown and sexy vibe. This track has a nostalgic sound, which will have you in a grown and sexy mood. Y’all already know I was loving EL speaking Ga on this track.

5. ADWUMA

‘ADWUMA’ is the leading single, which means ”work”. ‘ADWUMA’ is a perfect example of Afro-Fusion. This track incorporates afrobeat, highlife, and hiplife elements. This song will have you busting out your best Gbese and zanku.

6. ROLL LIKE MARIJUANA

This song is an anthem for the homies. Based on clever wordplay, this song has nothing to do with marijuana. ROLL LIKE MARIJUANA is one of those tracks you can bump to with your squad as you pre-game or get ready to get lit. No pun intended.

7. UNBREAKABLE

UNBREAKABLE is the last song on the EP. This song was a great way to close out the EP. This song is both motivational and inspirational. After listening to this track I felt unstoppable as well as unbreakable.

Overall, I vibe and enjoyed “THE LINKOP.” As a consumer, I was very excited about this project because I am a big fan of both artists. Each artist remained true to his style and flow throughout the Ep. Both artists complement each other so well on every track.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/IaCDCdo_6AA”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
