NEW SOUNDS – WEEK 6
This week on New Sounds, we travelled in and outside Ghana to bring you new sounds from new artists who are changing the music game gradually. This week features some artists you are familiar with and some whose music you’re about to fall in love with.
Donzy – Follow Me ft YaaPono & Quamina MP
Donny comes through with what’s happening in life, he puts YaaPono and Quamina MP on this jam titled FOLLOW ME. Quamina keeps his party vibes, as usual, singing as the happy soul that he always is and like Yaa Pono does it all the time, making “strong revelations” and giving us good vibes. Dessy Frydays – U (ivy flower)
The opening instrumentals of this song will draw your attention, no lie. The boys are really out here showing emotions beautifully through music and like I’ve been saying, I am here for all that and more. Dessy Frydays has been on some good vibes lately and U (ivy flower) his new single is no different, this R&B song will get you in all types of moods. ‘U’ is available on Audiomack.
Wavy the Creator – Body Deep ft Tiwa Savage
A few months ago, Nigerian creative artist Jennifer Ejoke known professionally as Wavy the Creator, released her first single of the year, BODY DEEP, her sound is unique and the soothing vibes from this song saw it topping charts. She has featured Tiwa Savage on the remix of BODY DEEP and Tiwa delivered highly sensual vocals to the song and this remix will definitely make you feel some type of way after listening to it. The song is out on all music platforms.
Dj Enimoney – Shibinshi ft Olamide & Reminisce
The YBNL camp has never disappointed us and with every song they release just hits right. The official Disc Jockey (DJ) of YBNL, DJ Enimoney released a new single SHIBINSHI. The song features Olamide and Reminisce.
Petra – FufuNsa
If you have found yourself in a love situation then this is the best song for you, knowing and appreciating what your lover does for you and what you’re willing to do for your lover is what love is all about. The whole idea of love has been expressed in Petrah’s new single FUFUNSA, Enjoy!
Zlatan Ibile – Shotan ft Tiwa Savage
Zlatan features Tiwa Savage on a new banger titled SHOTAN. Zlatan is best known for his high tempo music that gets fans jumping out of their seats. Tiwa provided that balance with her powerful vocals to the Zlatan fans know.
Cobby Raymond – Afafranto
Cobby Raymond has released a beautiful song titled Afafranto. Sounds familiar? Yes, the song is his own rendition of Kojo Antwi’s Afafranto, the song is inspired by the Maestro and it is more like a 21st-century version of the original Afafranto. Smooth vocals, great lyrics, it all loves out here.
Joey B – La Famillia ft Sarkodie and Kwesi Arthur
Joey B finally released his first single of the year, ‘LA FAMILLIA’, a Spanish word which means family or a circle of friends. The song features Sarkodie and Kwesi Arthur theme being gang relations and love from their circle. They really went hard on this one and it’s not surprising at all.
RJZ – Dangerous ft Joey B
Dangerous is a thank you gift from RJZ to for all the birthday wishes. The message in this song is quite strong and can not be ignored. RJZ is certainly not part of the boys expressing their love through music these days, he’s from a dangerous group. DANGEROUS is the title of RJZ’s new single and he features Joey B on this one, two dangerous people on a track called Dangerous, you know what to expect.
Kay T – The Kay T EP

Mavin Records new signee Crayon released a 6 song Extended Play ‘CRAY CRAY’ to give his fans something to fuel their day with. The Afro Pop EP is all sort of different moods and his first project, it’s a plus.
Medikal – The Plug EP
Rapper of the year at the VGMAs, Medikal released his much anticipated Extended Play, ‘THE PLUG EP‘. A 10-track EP with a mixture of Afrobeats and Rap. The EP features Kofi Mole, Joey B, Davido, Efya, Ahtitude and Kojo Funds. The individual tracks on the EP speak about the struggle of the rapper Medikal and his way of showing appreciation to the people in his life who help pave the way for him.
