CULTUR FM’s Four-Day Experience in Accra Was One to Remember

Accra came alive in mid-September as CULTUR FM landed in the capital for a monumental four-day run that truly left a mark on the city. While Ghana hosts vibrant gatherings and cultural moments year-round, CULTUR FM’s four-day Accra experience was unforgettable.

The culture-led platform, known for engineering city-specific experiences where music, community, and creative expression collide, took over the city from 23rd to 26th September. Instead of a single showcase, CULTUR FM embedded itself across Accra’s creative, nightlife, and wellness scenes, linking up with four key local powerhouses: FREE THE YOUTH, Aria Beach House, 7EVEN Run Club, and Enzo Accra.

The week kicked off in East Legon at the FREE THE YOUTH flagship store, a true epicenter for local culture. CULTUR FM and the FTY crew hosted an intimate day-to-evening gathering that blended streetwear, music, and raw community energy, anchored by heavy-hitting sets from Maleek DJ, DJ Budu, and Didi DJ. On day two, the platform held a private recording session before moving to Aria Beach House for a CULTUR FM × Aria all-white party. Against the coast, BIGBADSOUND and DJ Big Stan delivered the soundtrack to an unforgettable evening where style and sound met seamlessly.

Day three shifted the tempo toward movement and well-being, proving that cultural activations extend well beyond the dancefloor. Partnering with 7EVEN Run Club, CULTUR FM organized a community run that culminated in a gathering at FRONT/BACK, seamlessly bridging physical wellness with the city’s artistic pulse. The four-day run culminated in a sold-out finale at Enzo Accra, keeping the crowd moving from 10 PM until 6 AM. A stacked DJ lineup featuring DJ LA, Safo NP, Gal Dem DJ, DJ Juicy, AD DJ, DJ Speech, and Maleek DJ steered the night, amplified by the high-octane hosting of Ben Arthur, Wayne, and Kojo Manuel.

Reflecting on the success of the week, a CULTUR FM spokesperson shared, “Accra showed us what’s possible when you build with a city’s existing communities. Free The Youth, Aria and 7EVEN each brought their own culture into this week, which is what made it feel special. We’re building CULTUR FM as a platform that keeps coming back to these cities and grows alongside the people in them.”

Coming off the back of a sold-out August edition in Lagos, this Accra takeover solidifies CULTUR FM’s commitment to forging an interconnected global cultural ecosystem rooted in authentic local partnerships and lasting impact. With Accra now firmly etched into its footprint, the platform is already locking in its next destination: Los Angeles.
