Every week, the iMullar staff rounds up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, thus forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From the UK to Nigeria, each track from this week’s selections is guaranteed to be a vibe.
1. Nviiri The Storyteller – Mwana Wa Mubi
Sounds like a cold summer breeze on a clear starry night at your dream location. A beautifully well produced record.
2. LULU. – Not There Yet
The production on this record is stripped making LULU.’s vocals take centre stage. You feel like you’re enjoying a personal live session with the artist.
3. RIMON – Where Do We Go?
As the Rimon’s vocals touches your soul and the guitar strums the strings of your heart, the chorus raises the question that every living thing with a purpose keeps asking within; where do we go?
4. McKinley Dixon – Magic, Alive!
McKinley takes us back to the 90s with the old school HipHop production, enunciations and saxophones playing in the background.
5. ARYH – BATOTA
ARYH comes through with a great Amapiano record to get our groove on this summer and festival season.
6. Elestee ft. Ajebo Hustlers – Space
This chorus on this record can be a morning mantra. Elestee knows what she wants and she’s not letting anyone or anything get in the her way.
7. MashBeatz, Nasty C & Usimamane – Nobody
A great where we get to listen to a legend in the game flex his wordplay and enjoy the lyricism of a fast rising young talent. A rare moment in history.
8. SWAYVEE – US
Short but really drive the message home. SWAYVEE serenades his lover and just reaffirms his emotions to them, that nothing can stop him from loving them.
9. Agyeiwaa ft Beeztrap KOTM – Fall Apart 2
Sometimes we go through life experiencing its rough moments and tests however we always find a reason to keep moving forward.
10. CARLOU D – DO THAT
The first five seconds into the record, you know you are about to be on your feet for at least until the song crescendoes.
