Every week, the iMullar staff round up ten songs we cannot stop listening to, forming the weekly list of songs known as “On Rotation.” You heard these recommendations here first. From South to West Africa, to the UK, each track is guaranteed to be a vibe.
1. Cheque by Siah, Glorynade
This hit took me on a journey. I would say a nostalgic trip I was not anticipating going on. Cheque is a vibe, a perfect hump day song to help you whine down as the weekend nears. Sit back and enjoy the vibes of Cheque.
2. For Days by BNXN fka Buju
A hit for the summer, BNXN never misses and certainly didn’t with his new single For Days. A love song that you can vibe and not cry to, yes! That’s how I would describe it. I suggest you start learning the lyrics as I promise you, this will be one of the anthems for the BBQ’s this summer.
3. Money Bounce by KwesiSoul featuring Questo and Tulenkey
Are you into rap or drill? Then this one is for you. The lyrical flow on this tune is hot. I cannot lie. This is arguably a new sound from Africa, I have heard rap and drill from the continent before, but this one is special.
4. Ginger by Lamie
It’s due to go down with this one! Lamie has blessed us with a party tune that will get the party going. Do you love Afrobeats? Then this one is for you. For those that know how to get to stepping when it comes to footwork, I promise; this one if for you.
5. DJ Jism, A.BEEB and Andi – Dumb Love
This one caught me off guard, I had never come across any of the artists before, but I loved their sound. There is a blend of Afrobeats and R&B with this new tune, and to top it off, the vocals are amazing. Get into Dumb Love, as these three are definitely next up.
6. Cool by Zaonboi
A big tune! Cool is one of my favourite discoveries of the month. I absolutely love this song! Zaonboi showcases his potential with this single. With a mix of English and Twi Zaonboi expresses his love and desire for his love interest.
7. VHS (Piamonkor) by Papa Atey and Juma Mufasa
Rap love songs are a personal favourite. If you love rap songs, then this one is for you. The flow on this track is like no other, Papa Atey and Juma Mafasa are bringing something fresh with this track.
8. OVERCOMER by Moral Allen and Jimanni
Its giving Amapiano and House vibes. This one is for when the roof comes down in the summer. A tune that is bound to get you ready to pour a glass or two. This song deserves to sit in your favourites playlist if you ask me.
9. Burning Desire by DJ Justice featuring Offei
Afrobeats with a touch of Reggae is always a good idea. I could barely keep still when I heard this song. It took me to a beach somewhere hot with a cocktail to solidify the vibes.
10. It’s Okay by KayNu
If you do not know about this track I suggest you play it immediately. This is a hit that got me by surprise, when I listened to it the first time I was obsessed. I could not get enough of it!
