1. Don’t Leave – Shalom Dubas
A slow jam that is bound to get you in your feelings. By emerging artist Shalom Dubas, ‘Don’t Leave’ touches on feelings when a mutual attachment is fading away. Many of us can relate, as it is inevitable and bound to happen at some point in our lives. Sit back and enjoy the soothing Shalom’s soothing vocals.
2. Burn Up – TOME featuring Skales
Burn up, an undeniable hit from TOME’s most recent album L.Ö.V, which is bound to get you in the mood. TOME’s unique flow makes this song what it is with her smooth vocals, bringing a mix of Afro-Caribbean to Burn Up. Skales does not disappoint with a strong verse complimenting TOME’s eclectic sound.
3. Asampete (Beautiful woman) – King Mo
Asampete is one for Afrobeat lovers. Asampete has a nostalgic sound that is simply undefeated. King Mo is definitely an artist to keep on your radar. This song is a strong representation of just how talented he is. Asampete a single from his most recent EP ‘No Rush’ where you can hear from addictive afro-sounds to get the mood just right.
4. PUT IT 2 WORK – Cloud Beats featuring Jah-Lil
A song I can promise you will immediately fall in love with within seconds. Cloud Beats is truly one of a kind; his unique sound is due to sweep the industry. PUT IT 2 WORK is a perfect example of what to expect from his latest ROOTS & POWER. I have a few favourites on his most recent EP, but PUT IT 2 WORK quickly swept me off my feet.
5. Pf – Delart
Emerging Afro soul and Afrobeats lyricist Delart does not hold back in her most recent single Pf. The Jamaican influenced love song is bound to get you thinking of your special somebody. The artist sings mostly in patois, giving the song the sultry vibes matching the mood of the lyrics. This is a song that will definitely have you bussing one-two whines.
6. Second Sermon (Remix) – Black Sherif featuring Burna Boy
Need I say much? The First Sermon took the entire industry by storm, putting Black Sherif on the map with his unique flow; there is simply no one like him. The success of this single led to Award-Winning artist Burna Boy jumping on the remix, just when I thought it could not get any better.
7. Love Doc – Moliy
This banger dropped right on time for Valentine. If you have not heard it already, I suggest getting on it. We can all relate to this, as I am sure we have all needed the Love Doctor at some point. Moliy’s distinctive voice makes all her songs so soothing and enjoyable.
8. CHOPPA LIFESTYLE – Talaat Yarky
A jumpy tune to play when in control of the aux, you may know of Talaat Yarky from his popular single ‘Racks Pan Racks’ Remix. Talaat is back with another hot single speaking on his flashy lifestyle, letting the people know what’s good.
9. Abena’s song – BwoiiDaas featuring GreggdzDragon
I must say I am here for the calming slow jams that have a nice beat. BwoiiDaas does not hold back in his most recent EP ‘Long Story Short’, and Abena’s song gives you a flavour of what to expect. Featuring GreggdzDragon, both the artists complement each other, blessing us with a beautiful love song.
10. Touch It – KiDi featuring Tyga
To be perfectly honest, I did not know what to expect when I heard this remix was due to be released. Thankfully, KiDi and Tyga did not disappoint. I did not know we needed a United States x Ghana link up, but here it is, and I can confirm I am here for it!
