Full Job Description
Working under the Creative Director, the role of junior video editor requires a passionate and fast-learning editor with a good working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects as well as a sharp eye for detail, ready to take their skills to the next level. The appropriate candidate will already have experience in professional editing, and if not already familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator, and other programs in the Adobe Suite and DaVinci Resolve, they will be keen to develop these skills. Good working knowledge of common editing workflows, standard file formats and resolutions, audio settings, and sound & music editing practices is ideal. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of major social media/video platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), a love for television and music, and strong awareness of current pop-culture trends.
What you’ll do:
- Creating video assets to a brief, meticulously following existing guidelines and templates
- Adapting existing edits across various sizes and formats
- Creating video titles and simple motion graphics
- Creating subtitles
- Creating cut-downs, adapts and other content from existing edits
- Proposing content ideas for new videos
- Logging footage
- Compiling selects
- Creative research
- Music library searches
- Organizing and consolidating project files
- Liaising with freelance editors to provide templates, footage and Gainsight workflow guidance
Who you are:
- Experience with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Audition
- 2+ year professional editing experience or educational equivalent
- Strong show-reel of work demonstrating editing and use of video graphics
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strongly self-motivated
- Able to work to strict and fast-paced deadlines
- Great interpersonal and written communication skills
Nice to have skills:
- Photo/Video shooting skills
- Animation/motion graphic experience
