1. Kay Slice – “Promise”
Ghanaian-Dutch hip-hop artiste, Kay Slice is out with his latest single, “Promise” that speaks on the personal pledges you make to pursue and conquer your dreams and aspirations. 2. ToluDaDi featuring YN the Afropikin – “Taya” (Prod. by Baba WvD)
As the relentless youth of Nigeria continue the fight to end police brutality there, ToluDaDi’s song “Taya” featuring YN the Afropikin speaks perfectly to the frustrations we all feel towards the leaders who are failing to effectively lead their nations and protect their youth. These leaders were elected into office by the citizens to work on their behalf so it is surely time that they stand up to put an end to the cruel acts that are taking place under their noses.
3. Alikiba – “Mediocre”
Alikiba, known as the king of music in Tanzania, has been creating waves in his country for eighteen years and is still on top of his game. Aware of his influence and status, Alikiba speaks his truth on his recent single, “Mediocre” and lets his people know that he is here to stay.
4. Toofan x Fally Ipupa – “Yé Mama”
In this collaboration between Togo and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Toofan and Fally Ipupa deliver a catchy dance track for our personal enjoyment. The beat alone is enough to get you up on your feet.
5. Kuami Eugene featuring Falz – “Show Body” (Prod. by Richie Mensah)
It is without a doubt that Kuami Eugene creates infectious hits and he’s got a new one up his sleeves called, “Show Body” featuring Falz. The song is the 2nd track on his new album, “Son of Africa” that can be found on all streaming platforms. Enjoy, “Show Body” here.
6. Chiké featuring Mayorkun – “If You No Love”
Nigerian singer Chiké merges highlife guitars, African folk percussion, R&B rhythms, pop-storytelling and sensational vocals on his astounding tune, “If You No Love” with Mayorkun. Its visuals are hot off the press; enjoy it here.
7. Nyashinski – “Serious”
Kenyan MC, Nyashinski presents the visuals to his new single, “Serious” on his personal YouTube channel that has been catching a lot of buzz. We’ll directly link you to the video.
8. Headie One featuring Young T & Bugsey – “Princess Cuts” (Prod. by IO & TSB)
Ghanaian-British hip-hop recording artiste, Headie One is out with his debut album, “EDNA”, that bears the name of his late mother and carries the promise of the successful future that lies ahead of him. We instantly fell in love with his track, “Princess Cuts” from the album featuring Young T and Bugsey. Enjoy it here.
9. Herbert Skillz feat. Bebe Cool & Apass – “For Real” (Prod. by Herbert Skillz)
Ugandan reggae artiste and producer, Herbert Skillz links up with his fellow natives, Bebe Cool and Apass for a sweet collaboration dubbed, “For Real”. The song is a massive hit in East African charts, and we can see why.
10. MOG Music feat. Prospa Ochimana – “Living God”
Ghanaian Gospel artiste, MOG Music graced the world with his new album, “The Experience” and it’s glorious. We could all use a dose of inspiration as we enter the new week, so be sure to fill your spirits with his new project.
