Each week, we accumulate a list of newly released songs that we think you should hear because music is the only universal language of peace and love. Dani Draco – Sad Boy Flow
Labadi Music’s prospect, Dani Draco has been buzzing since the release of ‘Paradise’ featuring $pacely. Fans have been eager for new songs and he delivered with ‘Ready’ featuring Moor Sound. Now he’s back with a new single titled ‘Sad Boy Flow’. Produced by Zodivc, the song sees the singer crooning on a moody production, with a sensual and goose party-esque lyricism which runs throughout the song with Dani Draco in his comfortability.
Maswud Junior – Kontonkyi
Clocking in at 138 seconds, ‘Kontonkyi’ is a Hip-Hop piece supercharged with rhymes that pack quite a punch. It falls within gangsta rap territory and has Maswud Junior lay his flows on the beat with lyrics delivered in both English and Twi. Released together with a Sean Lifer-directed video, the song’s visuals are laced with crisp shots that give viewers a glimpse of Maswud Junior’s side of town.
Kojo Trade – Let Your Light Shine
After a long leave from the musical scene, former Afro Reggae and Dancehall artist, KojoTrade has finally switched from the secular genre to pursue God’s work as a full-time Gospel artist. Known with his unique and powerful vocal abilities, KojoTrade has released his first single ‘Let Your Light Shine’.
Production credits go to Genius Selection and Safoa Band who did an outstanding job in creating the canvas for KojoTrade to sing on. The classic, mellow record opens with KojoTrade reciting the Lord’s prayer. ‘Let Your Light Shine’ asks God to provide His blessings and protect him. Kojo emphasizes this through the repetition in the chorus – designed to get the listener into a mode of worship and faith, knowing that God will be there for them.
DJ JimmyJatt featuring 2Face & Buju – Worry Me
The Legend and pacesetter of DJ’s, JIMMY JATT continues to stake his claim as the Bridge/Connector of the industry with the release of his latest single, “Worry Me”, which features the best of both worlds, with BUJU and 2BABA blessing this classic record. This is his second release this year, following the release of viral hip-hop record “Pete Pete” ft CDQ. “Worry Me”, is catchy and rich in melodies. A track fitting perfectly as the right blend of mixed demography, from ‘Generation Z’ to ‘Baby Boomers’. It also puts on display a common and relatable narrative of being constantly “Worried” once you have “MONEY”! lol. The song which uses the global platform of 2 legends – Jimmy Jatt and 2baba, to put on the young and trendy BUJU, alongside NIPHKEYS, a young and fast-rising producer, is a must-listen.
Dare TheCreator – Everything Lit
In continuation of his dedication to outstanding music creativity, dynamic rapper Dare theCreator has announced the release of his second single of 2020, “Everything Lit“. The single which is a follow-up to the critically acclaimed ‘Positive Vybe’, the rapper’s first single of the year, is produced by Cyborg and released through Uppa Ruum Studios. Everything Lit incorporates elements of Afro pop and reflects the zest of the creative junky. The single celebrates Dare the Creator’s wins against all odds as he displays his masterful ability to play with words. The single is supported with top-class animated visuals.

Yung D3mz, Uche B, BoyetheGenius – Girls Like You
“Girls Like You” is Yung D3mz first debut project as a vocalist however the whole project was crafted by a collaboration between D3mz himself and two of some of Ghana’s littlest producers BoyeTheGenius and Uche B. Engineering a solid 5 tracks to accompany almost every mood of a stolen summer at the hands of COVID, the trio’s tape is filled with good vibes and great music. From Dangerous, the high tempo afro dance single to Virgil, a slowed down trapesque record, the triple threats took their time to create such a well-rounded project. Whether you are looking for a track to wine/whine down with your loved one to or a song for you and your squad to pop bottles and get hype to, ‘Girls like You’ has got you covered.

Moor Sound – Summertime
Summer might be over but it’s certainly not over for us music lovers. Moor Sound’s new EP is the perfect soundtrack for our post summertime enjoyments. ‘Summertime Sounds’ is a 7-track project by the RGG in-house producer Moor Sound. The star-studded tape features $pacely, BuMan, Yaa Pono, Nana Benton, Questo, TFK, Tulenkey, Kiddblack, Nana Calis, Kobby Keita, Tibu and Copta. If you’re an ardent fan of Moor Sound then brace yourself for the ride because Moor Sounds really made it bang.

Eltxn (pronounced) Elton is a Nigerian R&B artiste and his debut EP ‘Wonder Boy’ is a wonderful tape. The 4-track project is laid with soulful and R&B rhythms while he sings about themes like love, trust and loyalty.

Phronesis – The Evergreen EP
The Evergreen EP which seeks to imprint his name in the music scene and to officially pave way for his numerous good works is inspired by the singer’s experiences in life and also that of the people around him. Responding to the reason behind the title ‘Evergreen’, he said “I call it Evergreen because this EP signifies my longevity in the music scene and looking at the heat and impact this particular EP is going to make. I feel it will be evergreen, ever refreshing, and nourishing because it’s going to live in the soul, minds, and hearts of a lot of people.”
