With all that’s been going on in the world this week, we continuously played this moving tune from Kwesi Arthur as motivation; it’s a revolution sound.
2. BABLEE- “Sous Les Cocotiers”
We don’t know anyone who has heard this beat without busting their finest moves to it. The beginning seconds of the song alone will draw you to indulge in its contagious vibes. It’s a classic Ivorian hit!
3. Dave – “Black” (Prod. Fraser T. Smith)
UK-based, Nigerian rapper Dave uses his musical gift to shine a light on issues pertaining to race, social inequality, and identity on his powerful song, “Black”. Its message is very relevant to what is going on in the world right now. Take a listen.
4. Burna Boy- “Destiny” (Prod. by DJDS)
This song is so important to us. Listening to it gives us the extra dose of inspiration we need during the week to keep going. No one can lay their fingers on our destiny and it’s a message we adore.
5. Sauti Sol feat. India Arie – “My Everything” (Prod. by Kaysha)
Multi-award winning Kenyan band, Sauti Sol has released their fifth studio album, “Midnight Train”. We can always count on the group to deliver refreshing, unique sounds that are highly repeat-worthy. If we had to pick one of our favourite tunes from the album, it would be “My Everything” featuring American songstress, India Arie. Check it out here.
6. Akwaboah- “Posti Me” (Prod. by KC Beatz)
We are in the age of social media, which affects everything in our lives, including our romantic relationships. In his recent single, “Posti Me”, Akwaboah draws on how important it is to be posted by your partner on social media for security in the relationship. Take a listen here.
7. Shatta Wale – “Dream”
