NEW SOUNDS – WEEK 9
Each week, we accumulate a list of newly released songs that we think you should hear because music is the only universal language of peace and love. Here are some of the best releases you may have missed this week and don’t forget who put you on these sounds.
This list will be updated every day with new sounds released this week till Sunday.

Jean Feier – “Sunset”
Jean Feier’s Sunset puts us in a good mood and that’s all we need for the long weekend. Sunset is the kind of song you listen to when you’re sitting on the balcony with a beautiful beach view and cool breeze, the type of song that calms you down as you wait for the sunset is what Jean brings to us.
Kofi Mole featuring Fameye – “YABRE”
“YABRE” translated to “We Are Tired” will definitely pass for the street anthem because we are tired, really really tired. Kofi Mole features Fameye on his new single “YABRE”, the song talks about the everyday hustle and bustle which don’t seem to be yielding results these days, “we dey live risky life for survival” just like Kofi Mole said. There’s no need to explain to anyone how your week was or how you’re faring in this life, just play this song for them and leave them to figure it out because honestly, we are tired.
Kpakpo Lee – “100 pills”
What’s the extent you are willing to go to make it in life, are you willing to take 100 pills for the pain just so you can move on and keep working harder? KpaKpo Lee has all the answers in his new single “100 pills” and yes he wrote, sang and produced this song, all by himself, if this isn’t enough motivation for you then we don’t know what else will be but regardless we hope you find the inspiration you need in this song.
Moor Sound – “Obaasima”
It may not be summer yet but Moor Sound is bringing the tropics in with his new single, Obaasima featuring Spacely, Yung Demz and Buman. Moor Sound effortlessly captures the feeling of summer over a beat laid with flutes and electric guitars that’s both mellow and gets you dancing. The exotic vocals from La Meme Gang’s $pacely, the perfect hook done by Buman and Yung Demz’ flawless verse makes Obaasima a delicious tune for lovers everywhere.
Kojo Moore – “Loyalty”
We find it hard to believe that good guys get the worst treatment from the girls they love, why is it so? Kojo Moore’s vocals in his new song “loyalty” tells us exactly what the guys go through when they are mistreated regardless of their loyalty, they say girls like bad boys, how true is that? Let us know what you think but first listen to Loyalty and share in the pain of our young kings.
Nxwrth – “Ascend”
The journey to NASA continues, 4 songs gone and a new one has been released, “Ascend” featuring Tsoobi, as we said, we are going to NASA and the only way you get to NASA is by flying up, you need to ascend, you need to go up. Whatever it is you dream of doing in life, the only way is up no one can stop you if your focus is to move forward and move up. Thank you for listening to our motivational speech, now it’s time to “ascend”.
DarkoVibes – “INNA SONG”
DarkoVibes is set to release his debut album titled “Kpanlogo”, the album has 15 songs with features from some of our favourites, Runtown, Peruzzi, Mr Eazi, Mugeez, Stonebwoy, Kwesi Arthur and King Promise. 5 songs have already been released and a new one was released earlier today. “Inna Song” (Gin & Lime) featuring King Promise is the new song that was earlier today, these two artists make the Ga language so attractive no doubt about it, they usually talk about love, life and a couple of bad things yhup and the vocals is to die for, that’s exactly what to expect in “Inna Song” (in a song), good vibes from DarkoVibes, enjoy while we await Kpanlogo.
Kwesi Arthur – “Revolution Song”
We think it’s safe to say this new song is another edition of Thoughts From King Arthur, when someone has passion for something and they use that medium to address certain important issues in the space they find themselves, in this case, Kwesi Arthur is using music to address certain things happening in our beloved country, from the vocals to the lyrics of the song, it’s clear that he has this country at heart but things don’t seem to be happening right, he has used his voice and his talent to put his views and opinions out, what can we also do to help the “revolution” in this country?
Tapes/Eps
Odartei – “cool”
Listening to songs that correlate with their titles must be one of the best things we have experienced. Ödartei’s cool EP is super cool just like the title, with three tracks on the tape and guest feature by Amaarae on the second song “big cars” and you know how she does it all the time, this is Ödartei’s way of connecting with the people who love his music.
