TAPES

Yung Pabi – RWMOH

His debut project “Running With Men On Horses” seeks to introduce him as a whole package. Yung Pabi as an artiste possesses great storytelling skills which he often attributes it’s an inspiration to Okomfuor Kwadee plus his creativity is very impressive. Yung Pabi is a proud Christian who believes his religion does not make him a better person than others. He has a song about his faith on this project. Also, sometime last year, he posted a video of a cypher where he paid tribute to Okomfuor Kwadee and the masses asked for a full song. The answer to the question is also on the project. It’s called Wubotom ( Kwadee style). Yung Pabi also seeks to inspire hence he has a song that urges us to move to a new place if we are not accepted at where we are. For an artist who is running with men on horses, I believe our support will be the glucose he needs to win this race.

King Joey – Cloud Rap

King Joey is back with his record producer and engineer Arrow to work on another musical masterpiece. “Cloud Rap” is the second project of its kind from King Joey and Arrow, who came together to work on the “Low Tides” project in 2016. All beats for the project were made by Arrow except for track 7 “Coconut” which was produced by T Mak. The engineering of the project was entirely handled by Arrow which gave us the creative opportunity to tailor every aspect of the project exactly to our creative target. “Cloud Rap” seeks to provide the perfect world for loners and generally ethereal sound lovers. The content of the project embodies King Joey’s influences as a person and shares experiences from his Ghanaian environment which serves as a constant influence on him on a daily basis. Arrow’s production, serving as an underlying essence, introduces a unique wave straying away from the usual Ghanaian sounds. This results in a groove tailor-made for King Joey, complimenting his style and prowess. Together Arrow & King Joey feed off each other perfectly to complete the unique sound.
