St. Emmo’s The Movement Agency Is Building An Ecosystem For Entertainment And Creativity To Thrive  In Zimbabwe

When St. Emmo founded The Movement Entertainment Agency, his goal was to build a creative ecosystem that protects artists, delivers excellence, and pushes the boundaries of Zimbabwe’s entertainment industry. Over a decade later, The Movement has become one of the country’s most influential creative agencies, a trusted home for artists, event producers, and brands seeking world-class performance and production.

At its core, The Movement is a one-stop solution for entertainment. From live performers and technical teams to stage design, lighting, sound, and digital promotion, the agency curates every detail needed to bring events to life. But what truly sets it apart is its mission: to restore dignity and structure to Zimbabwe’s creative economy.

“When I started, I saw so many artists getting short-changed or treated as an afterthought,” says St. Emmo. “I wanted to build something that gave them structure and security, a system where they could focus on their craft while we handled the business side.”

Since its founding in 2012, The Movement has expanded into a network of more than 120 creative professionals working across music, live events, marketing, and production. Its reach extends beyond Zimbabwe, providing creative services for events in South Africa, Zambia, and Mozambique. The agency’s portfolio includes brand activations, corporate concerts, fashion events, and cultural showcases that have become cornerstones of Southern Africa’s entertainment calendar.

Under St. Emmo’s leadership, The Movement introduced “The Art of Fusion,” a groundbreaking format that merges DJ sets with live instruments and performance art. The concept has since inspired other producers and performers to re-imagine how Zimbabwean music is experienced not as a setlist, but as a fully immersive art form.

“We’re moving away from the idea that entertainment is just background noise,” St. Emmo explains. “We create experiences that tell stories, that connect audiences emotionally. That’s the future, experiences that live beyond the stage.”

Now entering a new digital phase, The Movement is developing tools that make artist management and event coordination seamless across borders. Plans include an online booking platform, regional collaborations, and mentorship programs aimed at nurturing the next generation of Zimbabwean talent.

“We’re no longer just managing events, we’re shaping culture,” he adds. “Our artists deserve global platforms, and The Movement is the bridge that will get them there.”

With its combination of creativity, professionalism, and community-driven purpose, The Movement continues to prove that the creative industry can be both profitable and sustainable.
