Where bold contemporary design meets meticulous craftsmanship to reimagine Ghana’s cherished storytelling tradition.
A powerful new force has emerged in the fashion world, born from an exciting collaboration between two distinct yet complementary Ghanaian brands. On one side is Yellow Studio, a name synonymous with a bold and contemporary design language that pushes aesthetic boundaries. On the other is Jude Dontoh, a designer celebrated for his meticulous craftsmanship and deeply innovative approach to fashion construction. This partnership unites visionary design with masterful execution.
Together, these two acclaimed entities have created a unique collection that draws deeply from a foundational element of Ghanaian culture: the beloved “By the Fireside” folklore. This source material provides a rich tapestry of narrative and tradition, offering a profound well of inspiration. The collaboration goes beyond simple aesthetic references, seeking to capture the very essence and emotional resonance of these shared cultural stories.

Officially launched on September 24th, 2025, the collection poetically reimagines the tradition of children gathering around elders to hear timeless stories under the night sky. Each piece is conceived as a modern echo of that communal experience, translating the warmth, wisdom, and mystery of the fireside into wearable art. The design process involved a delicate balance of honoring the past while speaking directly to the present.
Since its debut, the collection has garnered significant attention and praise both locally and internationally. Its success lies in its powerful dual impact: it not only evokes a deep sense of nostalgia for Ghanaians but also effectively amplifies the beauty and complexity of Ghanaian heritage for a global audience. This project stands as a testament to the power of collaborative innovation in celebrating and preserving cultural identity through the universal language of design.
