SimulationRxps ends off the year on a high note with a new anthem, ISTALATO. “ISTALATO SOYTHANDA” which in English means “the streets will love it” is a song that is mainly inspired by real-life interactions that he has with his supporters in real-time. The production of the song blends two home-based genres, Kwaito & AMAPIANO, where SimulationRxps smoothly delivers raps in a vernacular language, (Xhosa), to continue its style of storytelling.
The producers responsible for creating this nostalgic record which will have listeners reminiscing about the good times, are Lay Lay, Roscosteazy, and AZEE14. The record also includes a skit by Mtshanakamalume.
Born and raised in kwaLanga, Cape Town, Simbulele Ngumla (AKA, SimulationRxps) is a South African Rapper and Songwriter mostly known for his contribution to the Cape Townian Hip-Hop scene. He gained most of his popularity from his 2020 single titled “Ezay Zolo” (which gained over 100,000 streams on major DSPs and over 100,000 views on YouTube)
SimulationRxps went on to release his independent debut project “Live From eLokshin” (2022), which was featured in the official Top 20 Apple Music Hip-Hop chart. The album gave listeners an audio-led experience that epitomizes the integration of the core of township and urban experiences, as it blends old-school Kwaito, Lingo, and Charisma to tell the stories of Langa, Cape Town.
When on stage, SimulationRxps exudes a level of cadence and charisma that allows him to connect with his audience in a highly engaged and cinematic manner, having performed at CottonFest, The ComUnity, The African Tour, The Reece Effect, The Ivyson Army Tour, Streetfest JHB, Archive x Puma etc just to name a few stages.
