Black Sherif won “Best International Flow” at the BET hip-hop awards, 2023 which took place at The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
The BET Hip-Hop Awards show which was taped on October 3rd and aired last night October 7 saw Black Sherif emerge as the winner of the best international flow category beating the likes of J Hus, Ninho, K.O, Sampa The Great, Central Cee, the late AKA, Tasha & Tracie, Gazo, and Major RD.
This win makes him the second African artist to win this prestigious award after Sarkodie since the introduction of this category. In his acceptance speech, he tells the audience about a boy from Konongo Zongo in Ghana who dreamt of gracing the stage and receiving that award. A boy who believed his music would cross the borders of his home country, Ghana, and make it on a global stage.
