REVEALED TODAY AS THE THIRD TRACK FROM HER HIGHLY ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM “ISLAND 54“
Stefflon Don returns with a brand new video for “Dem Dead”, the third single from her highly anticipated debut album Island 54. First debuted via GRM’s Daily Duppy series in December of last year, “Dem Dead” is a true showcase of Stefflon Don’s formidable rap talents. After a viral TikTok moment for the track and popular demand, the EMxBEATS-produced track gets a brand new music video.
Directed by Stefflon Don, the cinematic video opens at the center of a poker game, circulating between different versions of Stefflon Don competing with each other; as trumpets horn, we’re transported to a glamorous alternative world, with Stefflon Don at the focus.
“Dem Dead” is set to follow the success of Stefflon Don’s ambitious, world-building previous singles “Clockwork”, a collaboration with Queen of Dancehall Spice, and “The One”. Together, the trio of songs gives a preview of the versatility to come on the full-length project Island 54, out later this year.
Speaking on the self-directed video, Stefflon Don says “The fan reaction to this single paired with that drill beat … I had to make an official video for this track. Self-directing the film was really important to me as I knew exactly how I wanted each version of myself to come across – I’m my own fiercest competitor.”
Stefflon Don continues to cement her reputation as one of the world’s most versatile and vital voices with every release.
